Just a heads-up, Wikipedia isn't for advertising your socials. I'd strongly advise removing that stuff from your userpage and whatnot. Sirocco745 (talk) 09:46, 14 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

2024 Bangladesh internet blackout moved to draftspace

edit

Thanks for your contributions to 2024 Bangladesh internet blackout. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources and it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. BoyTheKingCanDance (talk) 05:42, 20 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

I have sent you a note about a page you started

Introduction to contentious topics

edit

You have recently edited a page related to post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

  Hello, I'm Owais Al Qarni. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Student–People's uprising have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. –𝐎𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐬 𝐀𝐥 𝐐𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢 ʕʘ̅͜ʘ̅ʔ 07:18, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Owais Al Qarni Is image you're using is important? BangladeshiStranger🇧🇩 (talk) 07:32, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yes, it is important and highly relevant to this section.–𝐎𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐬 𝐀𝐥 𝐐𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢 ʕʘ̅͜ʘ̅ʔ 07:34, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
I don’t' wants to involved in a edit war and I respect your opinions. But he's just giving speech and I don’t' see his supporters fighting with police like students. You can just add party's name in Infobox. I inform other editors to resolving this dispute
@BangladeshiEditorInSylhet @Mehedi Abedin @Ahammed Saad What you think guys? BangladeshiStranger🇧🇩 (talk) 07:48, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Stranger43286 To me, the photo has some relevancy but it doesn’t portray the core environment of the movement. Also, the non-cooperation movement was primarily centred on Dhaka which resulted the march of Dhaka. We could use relevant image instead of that. Mehedi Abedin 08:01, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Also the text on the article don't exactly reflect the photo's importance specifically. Mehedi Abedin 08:03, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Neutral - I am neutral in the situation here. The image though is not as relevant to the page. BangladeshiEditorInSylhet (talk) 11:35, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
  Agree with @Mehedi Abedin Ahammed Saad (talk) 14:05, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
You can also add sources to prove that this image is important. BangladeshiStranger🇧🇩 (talk) 07:54, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
I get 2 supports and @al-Qarni get 0 support. So I can undone the image. BangladeshiStranger🇧🇩 (talk) 13:36, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

This message does not imply that there are any issues with your editing. Additionally, editors must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days, and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert on the same page within 24 hours for pages within this topic. For more information about the contentious topics system, please see Wikipedia:Contentious topics.

  Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to 2024 Israel–Lebanon ceasefire agreement, without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Because this is a contentious topic, you would need to open a Move Request first by following the instructions at WP:RM#CM --Ahecht (TALK
