Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! -- Irn (talk) 22:02, 8 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

What happened in Couchsurfing?

edit

On the Couchsurfing page, you wrote that "The systematic creation of fraudulent membership profiles has continued through August 2014, with numerous locations across the globe registering rates of 50% or more." with a reference to this url which now 404s. Do you know more about this topic, or have a fresher source? I tried using Google Cache but to no avail. My interest is that I am doing research on the history of the competiton between couchsurfing and Airbnb, looking at how the competition has effected their sizes. I see a negative correlation in most markets, except the one where there was a big spike in signups in 2012. Would like to know more. Maximilianklein (talk) 23:20, 27 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
