Britta Curl

edit

There has been some edit warring on the controversy section of Britta Curl. Please start a thread on the talk page if you wish to edit that section. Cheers! Wheatzilopochtli (talk) 19:48, 24 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

I made a new section but if it devolves into whatever happened on the earlier one I'm just going to RfC because it's ridiculously long and asinine over a single section of a social media controversy. Sock-the-guy (talk) 20:05, 24 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Bullet point in a discussion

edit

Hey, I noticed struggled with the formatting here (Just as I had when I first started participating in such discussions a while back). Just a small note to help you in the future.

When you are trying to add a new bullet response to a discussion such as a move discussion or a deletion discussion, you can't use the built in "reply" button feature as it will always format it as a "reply" (which in the Wikisource produces a : instead of a bullet point *. If you do use the reply feature, you need to afterwards go and edit the page to replace your : with *'s. Or you add your response directly using the source editor itself to begin with (that way you save yourself having to make two edits). I fixed the format for you, hope that was okay :)

Happy editing and retroactive Welcome to Wikipedia :) Raladic (talk) 18:32, 6 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for fixing that. I try to focus on the writing part and not the software formatting etc, lol. I'll try to use the source editor for future discussions. Sock-the-guy (talk) 18:37, 6 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
No worries, it's overwhelming at first and just one of those quirks of the Wikipedia editing experience :)
You can still use the reply button to actually reply to other peoples' comments, just not to make a new initial bullet point, such as a vote :) Raladic (talk) 18:39, 6 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
