- OK, you're not going to post to the article's talk page. Why are you so intent on including a "criticism" section that you would cite a source from a New Jersey school district for a New York school? I will not revert this falsely cited content because I will not edit war. However, I will be reporting your editing to the edit warring noticeboard unless you choose to revert your edits. First off, welcome to Wikipedia and thanks for the work you are doing at Monroe-Woodbury High School. Please understand that these are intended to be constructive criticisms, not an attempt to make you feel unwelcome or that you have done anything wrong. I have several comments about your edits to this article:
- The link you had in there to nj.com appears to be about Monroe Township in New Jersey, which is a completely different school.
- It is important to be careful about "criticism" sections. For instance, linking only to a primary source like the school budget doesn't mean that anyone is actually critical of it. Rather, a secondary source that criticizes the budget should be used. It's also better, if possible, to work the criticisms into other sections, rather than have a separate section for them. For example, criticism of the athletics teams can be included in a section on athletics. See Wikipedia:Criticism sections.
- Only information from reliable sources are appropriate for inclusion in Wikipedia. For instance, linking to a Facebook page critical of the school is not an appropriate link. Specifically, you should be aware of our biographies of living persons policy, which calls for unsourced contentious claims about living persons to be immediately removed from any article in which they occur.
- Lastly, please be aware of our edit warring policy and specifically the three-revert rule. Rather than simply reverting to your preferred version, you should discuss the issue on the article talk page.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. --B (talk) 16:05, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
Your recent edits
editHello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 16:22, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
