Proposed deletion of Alessandro Capone linguist

edit

The article Alessandro Capone linguist has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Nomination of Alessandro Capone (linguist) for deletion

edit

You saw and responded to my AfD nomination of the article before I could gather together my own statement, let alone figure out how to notify you here using the template. But I wanted to remind you as I just reminded User:Alessandro.capone that the AfD process is an opportunity to try to remedy the problems with the article, not an instant deletion like the PROD process. I will be delighted if either you or he can come up with evidence that he meets the notability guidelines for academics. However, you have yet to do so despite having been referred to them before. And I can't find any such evidence myself. The article also still has referencing/format problems, but the big problem is notability. It seems to be too early in his career. If there is something not yet mentioned in the article that fits any of the criteria at Wikipedia:PROF and can be substantiated from a reliable source, please produce it and someone will help you format it correctly if necessary.   Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Alessandro Capone (linguist). Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you.
