Sorry for the belated welcome, but the cookies are still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Rudyindarto. I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page, consult Wikipedia:Questions, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

Edit Summaries

edit

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. - 220 of Borg 23:31, 12 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

My name is Bmechanic, and I'm been here in Wikipedia for a year now. Let me introduce myself: I have been working on some Wikipedia page and now try to work on a big scale (other pages I'm never worked before). I'm currently requesting for a help on creating some articles that has not yet shown on Wikipedia. I'll also help out contributing pages, including maintenance (such as removing red links that link to no page, and some detailed explanations.)

I'm hope that my introduction will do better! See my talk page for details (sorry it is not that much, but currently I'm just working out on a small scale to a big one). Thank You.

P.S. Please forgive me for the grammar problems, I still currently trying to work on the pages on a small scale. (Bmechanic (talk) 11:15, 21 December 2013 (UTC))Reply

Hi its me, Bmechanic. It's been a while since I made an introduction- I'm sorry of my inactiveness lately because I'm busy in real life, but I saw about your contributions. That was great. I'm still a learner (yes- I've still got a long way to get there) and I'm still working on a small scale and really hoped to make it big afterwards. I'm may be busy and i'm not be able to do contribute when that's happens (come help out).

Percy Jackson Task-force

Hi, I'm looking to help revamp the Percy Jackson Task-force, a project dedicated to maintaining articles related to Rick Riordan and Percy Jackson & the Olympians. I noticed your edits on some articles that fall under this task-force's "jurisdiction", and I wanted to invite you to join! If you're interested, I'd like to invite you to become a full member; please note that the difficult requirements for membership are going to be lowered in the near future, so you can join worry-free (I know they scared me away on the first try.). You can also become just a "supporter", if that's more your speed.

Head on over to the project page if you're interested -- and no hard feelings if you're not. Thanks again in advance, and feel free to contact me on my Talk page. 2ReinreB2 (talk) 05:03, 23 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Why I undid all those edits of yours

edit

Hey there, Rudyindarto. I undid a number of your edits that added extra categories to (mainly) Camp Half-Blood pages because most of them added categories for novels set in cities these novels mention only in passing. Besides making these pages severely overcategorized, those edits also made the pages inaccurate. Those categories are for novels whose primary setting is those places, not those where the characters merely pass through them. I hope you see my logic here, and are not offended.

I appreciate your zeal, though. Have you ever thought of joining the Rick Riordan task force? We're always looking for editors with interest and knowledge of Rick Riordan's works. Once again, I really wasn't trying to insult you, and I hope you have a nice day. -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 17:08, 20 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Giovanna, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Giovanni. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Your additions of business figures to hotel chain articles

edit

Please refrain from adding excessive business figures to hotel chain articles as this violates the articles content policies. We are not a business directory, that's what corporate websites are for - the articles are supposed to have a summary of current figures, not a vast array of tables. Best regards. 2001:A61:125B:1D01:60E2:F03:B95D:2703 (talk) 16:49, 25 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
