London Victoria station
editHi Rpjs,
Noting your comment on Platform 8 at London Victoria - perhaps this is used differently at different times of day (peak/off-peak, weekdays/weekends): in several years of regular visiting, albeit mostly at off-peak times and weekends, I don't remember ever seeing a Southeastern train in this pfm; it generally seems to be used for the Southern "Metro" services on the West Croydon and London Bridge (via Crystal Palace) routes. Can you confirm that this is different at peak times? (I hope I got the platform number right, as well - I was referring to the pfm between the Left Luggage office and the dividing wall, with its own individual set of ticket gates.)
Let me know what the situation is in your experience (especially with regard to the routes/destinations you normally see from Pfm 8).

- As discussed by e-mail (hope my reply went through), I have checked on Saturday and with a friend on Friday night:
- Train leaving at 1640 on Friday was a Dartford-bound SE
- Trains seen by me on Saturday were the 1352 London Bridge via Crystal Palace and the 1407 West Croydon (both SN)
- Another Bromley-based friend advises that in his experience (almost always off-peak), he usually sees Southern
- Perhaps an amended sentence could be reinstated - something like "...for example, platform 8 is sometimes used by Southern Trains (especially at off-peak times)..."?
In this edit you wikified "Great Smog". Yet that link is not a general discussion of Great Smogs, it is a specific discussion of one that occurred in 1952. IMO, it should not be linked. What do you think?
I removed the link, because it appears you are an irregular editor. We can restore it if warranted.--SPhilbrick(Talk) 18:54, 5 February 2013 (UTC)
