Request reason:
Hi, I use TOR for security reasons and I guess I got stuck with this IP. Even after changing the TOR node I am using I still can not edit. Thank you.
Decline reason:
We don't allow users to edit using Tor, also for security reasons. As you may have noticed by your autoblock message (see template below), we've had many problems with vandals using the Tor network to avoid being blocked, occasionally causing severe amounts of disruption. Therefore, all open Tor nodes are blocked on sight. We can allow you to bypass the IP blocks, however we need a good reason to do so, and you don't have enough edits to justify me granting it right now. Could you explain why you are using Tor to edit Wikipedia in another unblock request? — Hersfold (t/a/c) 04:29, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

- I'm currently discussing this with some other administrators. As I mentioned, this tool is only granted in a few circumstances, and your case is somewhat controversial due to the issues we've had with Tor. I'll let you know of the result as soon as I've got one. Hersfold (t/a/c) 05:19, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
You've been granted permission to bypass blocks on IP addresses. You may still be blocked by username, please note that any abuse will result in a revocation of that permission. — Werdna • talk 05:24, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

Request reason:
Thank you for the IP block exemption, however I am still blocked by username. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Decline reason:
Oh. We hadn't noticed that, which is a bit of a stupid mistake on our part, really. Due to the reason for your block, and the recent granting of your IP block exemption, (which I will now revoke, pending further discussion), this will need to be brought to further discussion at the admin's incidents noticeboard. I'll have a link for you shortly. — Hersfold (t/a/c) 05:49, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

- I know you can't comment there directly, but if you have anything to add to the discussion, you can post it here and it should eventually get noticed. Sorry it has taken me a while to reply, I have been busy. Thank you for dealing with this. Anonymous (talk) 01:59, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
Is there a way to override the ip blocks? Anonymous (talk) 16:18, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
IP block exemption
editIt appears that IP block exemption was granted a couple of hours ago by Xenocidic. However, I have concerns about this based on checkuser findings, and it would be extremely helpful if you would email me and tell me about the details of how and where your account was created on July 18. Pending a discussion with you I will not remove the block exemption but consider it temporary and provisional. Thatcher 18:48, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

editWelcome to Wikipedia. The project's content policies require that all articles be written from a neutral point of view, and not introduce bias or give undue weight to viewpoints. Please bear this in mind when making edits such as your recent edit to Common Era. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. IPBE
editWe're doing some early "spring cleaning" and it seems that you've been inactive in the last three months. Typically, IP rangeblocks do not last quite this long, so I've taken the liberty of removing the extraneous permission from your account. You should be fine, though if you experience problems due to IP blocks again, please re-request the permission.
If you're no longer editing for some reason, please feel welcome to do so again in the future! Kylu (talk) 05:40, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
