Disambiguation link notification for September 2
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited York railway station, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Redcar railway station. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:34, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
Congleton Station Edit
editGreatings
In regards to your edit to the page on Congleton railway station, I can confirm that the station is still a mainline station as Cross Country have only suspended their limited calls at the station due to Covid 19.
Many Thanks Maurice Oly. Maurice Oly (talk) 00:21, 15 September 2020 (UTC)

editSorry for Class 321 revert.
editHey I just want to say I’m sorry for reverting an edit by you but I had to do so to deal with issues caused by an IP address user who had made a poorly sourced edit and had changed the scrapped number next to number scrapped with finding a new reference to back up the edit.
I have re-added the typo you fixed and I thank you for fixing the typo.
Again I’m sorry for reverting your edit but I sadly had no choice in order to fix the issues with the page as I could not see the rollback option in twinkle, If I had I would have just rolled back the IP address’s users edits while keeping you edit.Maurice Oly (talk) 18:40, 20 April 2021 (UTC)
Intercardinal directions
editHi Romiley, thank you for your edits to Nottingham. We have a convention in Wikipedia that intercardinal compass directions are not hyphenated. Please see Points of the compass, Northeast, Northwest, etc. Kind regards, Rodney Baggins (talk) 08:03, 11 June 2021 (UTC)

Use of reference templates
editHi @Romiley401,
Thank you for your edits to Driving Brake Standard Open. I did notice however that the reference provided was inserted as a bare URL - such references are subject to link rot, and because of this templates, such as Cite Web exist. Please try and make use of these templates when adding references to articles.
Once again, thank you for your contibutions. Danners430 (talk) 09:17, 20 October 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @Romiley401, Thanks again for your edits to British Rail Class 86. I did however note that one of the citations added was a bare cite without the Template:Cite Magazine template applied. I've corrected this, but please bear this in mind for the future. Once again thanks for your contributions. Danners430 (talk) 16:39, 15 December 2022 (UTC)

Links to Edinburgh railway station
editHello! I've noticed that you've added links to Edinburgh railway station in a few articles using the {{rws}} template. That creates a link to a disambiguation page; I assume what you want in these cases is Edinburgh Waverley railway station? Best, Mackensen (talk) 11:03, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
- For info - the way that template works is the first parameter is the location, in this case Edinburgh, and the (optional) second parameter is the specific station - in this case it would be Waverley. For example, if you wanted London King's Cross to be displayed as London, you would use {{rws|London|King's Cross}}. Danners430 (talk) 12:19, 19 August 2024 (UTC)

TV programmes
editI suspect you aren't aware of this, so just a friendly note about former TV programmes. WP:TVNOW means that articles should always be introduced in the present tense, e.g. "News At Six is a news programme that was...", rather than "News At Six was a news programme...". Otherwise, thanks for the contribution on the article. 10mmsocket (talk) 06:54, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
Heald Green railway station
editI understand that you once did an updating of the facilities of this railway station. In the main booking office and waiting room, new toilet facilities have now been added. As a matter of courtesy to you, I bring this matter to your attention, should you wish to add that information to the Wikipedia article.
Xenophon Philosopher (talk) 08:49, 10 January 2025 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) This would require a source before it could be added however - you don't happen to have one? Danners430 (talk) 10:21, 10 January 2025 (UTC)
Does seeing it with my own eyes and using the facility not count? I had not used that station for some time and it came as a surprise.
Xenophon Philosopher (talk) 01:19, 11 January 2025 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) no - that’s not a source, that’s WP:OR. Danners430 (talk) 09:36, 11 January 2025 (UTC)
Unfortunately, as I cannot give any source but that of my own eye sight and the faxt that I did actually make use of this new facility in a real-life situation, when I was utterly desperate (I only have one kidney since the operation) and the booking office clerk entered the code number in the lock unit, then we shall have to pretend it does not exist....even though it does in real-life.
Xenophon Philosopher (talk) 11:04, 11 January 2025 (UTC)
- Wikipedia is based on verifiability not truth. That is just how this project works. Danners430 (talk) 11:14, 11 January 2025 (UTC)
In that case, thank God that Wikipedia have nothing to do with administration of the law court system in Britain. So if a matter takes place but no report to source it is made, then Wikipedia logic will decree that the matter did not take place, as no one had written source material.
