I wanted some of the wording left in that you'd taken out with your edit. I copied and pasted your reference back into the article. --Bookworm857158367 (talk) 19:19, 30 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

San Narciso website on Thomas Pynchon page

edit

Hi, thanks for your message. The San Narciso site is actually administered by Pomona College and has sections on all of Pynchon's works, his life, etc etc. Its name is misleading and I can see why you removed it, and I agree with your removal and replacement of the links to the other two sites to the pages on the specific novels they deal with. cheers Abaca (talk) 01:25, 9 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Windows Vista

edit

Please refrain from reinserting those statements in the Windows Vista article, I've explained why in the talk page. If you really think it's notable and can justify them I suggest you do so in the software compatibility section of Criticism of Windows Vista article. --112.203.32.160 (talk) 12:09, 7 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of John Ness Beck, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://johnnessbeckfoundation.org/John%20Ness%20Beck.htm.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Mr. Thomas,

If you want me to take care of the Wikipedia copyright issues, please just reply to this e-mail, stating that that you will license your text that I used on the John Ness Beckpage under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Sharealike 3.0 Unported License (CC-BY-SA) (CC-BY-SA compatible licenses are also accepted, as, of course, is release into public domain). Please note that this means that

  1. The text may be freely redistributed and used.
  2. It may be freely modified, and modified versions may also be freely

redistributed and used.

  3. In all cases, CC-BY-SA requires proper attribution of the author(s).
  4. CC-BY-SA allows commercial re-uses provided such re-use is also under

CC-BY-SA.

Please also note that by granting such a license you do not give up any of your rights to use the text: your are still free to publish the text elsewhere or to license the same text to other parties under any other license.

Wikipedia also requests that you dual-license the text under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) (unversioned, with no invariant sections, front-cover texts, or back-cover texts) license as well. This license uses similar ideologies to CC-BY-SA, but is incompatible. Wikipedia's general content is co-licensed, and it is more convenient for our reusers to have material available under both licenses, but it is not essential when importing text from external sites authored by others.

If this is acceptable, please just reply that you agree to CC-BY-SA licensing or dual CC-BY-SA and GFDL licensing of the text on your web pages.

Per you approval, I have copied text from your Foundation's web page. Wikipedia will require copyright assignment or placement of the text into the public domain if that text is to remain. For details of how to do this, please see:

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Jason Hanson, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Carney (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
