editHello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at R.J. Corman Railroad Group. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.
If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 17:06, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
I'm sorry, but YOU are the user that is repeatedly reverting information on an article that I am simply trying to update and correct. Do your research before trolling and causing people headache for simply doing their job. Nothing I've changed on the R. J. Corman page is incorrect. Rjcorman (talk) 17:15, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
- I have indicated to you the proper means of doing what you wish to do, given your conflict of interest. No one is "trolling" anyone. Wikipedia does not deal in truth, but what can be verified. 331dot (talk) 17:17, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
- And, if you are "doing your job" by editing here, you are a paid editor and you need to clearly declare that per the paid editing policy, which is required by Wikipedia's Terms of Use. 331dot (talk) 17:18, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
I am simply trying to update the company page as I've been asked to do. I have followed your proper means and participated in a discussion with a link to the website in the talk page where you can go and confirm that all of the information I've updated is correct. So do it & revert the changes back to what they should be. Rjcorman (talk) 17:33, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
user:331dot, do you plan to advise on how to update the page to your satisfaction? Rjcorman (talk) 17:51, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
- I've done so. When you requested your username change, did you do it by going to the Global rename request form? 331dot (talk) 17:55, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
Seeing as I can read, I did. 108.171.131.186 (talk) 18:03, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
- My question did not have to do with your ability to read; sometimes people are confused. 331dot (talk) 18:04, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
You have made it quite clear that you find me incompetent and unable to do things to your standards. You directly provided a link when you addressed your issue with my user name, I am intelligent enough to have figured out how to change it. Pkmathis (talk) 18:07, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
- I have never said you are incompetent; quite the contrary, you are an effective advocate for your company- which has been the primary issue here. 331dot (talk) 18:16, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
