Thank you this much. But, actually it is under the same file informations stated for the previous one while the present one is procured from her own website- https://www.shwetha-menon.com/model.php.

Could you please solve? Thanks again. Stephenfryfan (talk) 15:49, 11 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

And... I wpuld definitely support if you even change it for a third profiling image due to the second one's poor visual resolution and the first one's procurement from a third party website and lack of vividness and charm quality. Stephenfryfan (talk) 15:56, 11 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Stars

edit

Re: this and your previous submissions of this, per Template:Infobox film instructions, we derive starring cast from the film poster's billing block. Based on this poster, I see two people, Vijay and Sethupathi credited in print. Your repeated removal of Sethupathi is unjustified. Unless you can demonstrate definitively that Sethupathi is not credited as a star of the film, there is no justification to remove this content. You need to start familiarising yourself with our community guidelines, including infobox rules.

Also, "stars" typically means the people in the lead roles. Saying "the film stars ... in the lead roles" is redundant and unnecessary.

Lastly, here's your final warning about this: When edits you make are reverted, you need to open a discussion and seek consensus for the changes you wish to make. If you don't have consensus, and you restore a disputed edit, it is considered edit-warring. You have been told this numerous times. If you do it again, your editing privileges will be pulled. This is a community project. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 21:47, 16 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for persistently making disruptive edits. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:28, 17 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
In the section above, I told you three things that you should have paid attention to: 1) That you need to read the Template:Infobox film instructions. 2) that we typically derive a film's starring cast from the film poster's billing block, and 3) that a film's "stars" are typically its lead actors. In this edit, you apparently didn't read the Infobox instructions, you didn't base this addition on the film poster's billing block, and instead, you four more people to the |starring= parameter based on some personal preference known only to you.
It's no crime to not understand community guidelines when you start editing, but if people keep telling you what the guidelines are, or that you should read those guidelines, and instead you make random changes that don't align with community standards or preferences, that's a problem. Edit warring at Vani Bhojan again

edit

Your recent editing history at Vani Bhojan shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
Both you and Eswnav need to stop edit warring on this article and on other articles (such as Meeku Maathrame Cheptha). Use the article talk pages to discuss the content, and do not attack the other editor even if you think they are wrong. Assume that they are trying to improve the encyclopedia just as much as you are, and only comment on content, not on other editors. bonadea contributions talk 23:07, 28 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Bonadea:; For me wikipedia is a platform for good edits.I am not in a war as I keep good edits,but branding someone ie, Vani Bhojan by User Esnaw is same as vandalism and disruptive.He always keep nurturing and highlighting her only and articles related to that article,even I mentioned him multiple times.Do you think it is good?Is there anything wrong done by me?

Why branding others in the article of Vani Bhojan? Eswnav always do unecessary and long wise content for providing a statement or an information. I corrected it in a good way but the great fan based infactuation of Esnaw made it irritated by my Good Edits and undoing the way i corrected the article. Still why eswnav is still unblocked???????He always after her,for even minute things.

Starring = lead roles

edit

As previously noted, re: this, "starring" typically means "in the lead roles". A film's stars are typically the highest-billed, most important actors, which generally means they have the lead roles. Saying "the film stars ... in lead roles" is needlessly repetitive, as is me having to tell you this twice. English may not be your strongest skill, so when people who are native English speakers offer you some advice, you might want to take it. If someone told me I was making grammar mistakes or repetitive language in Malayalam, I would imagine I'd listen to what they had to say. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:05, 4 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your edits on Netrikann (2021 film)

edit

Hello Riya Iyer S Menon, several of your edits on the page Netrikann (2021 film) have not been constructive. For example, most recently, you changed the edits I made, removing redlinks around Milind Rau for no apparent reason; changing the language of the text, rendering it grammatically incorrect; and removing an entire section for no apparent reason. I do not accuse of you of acting in bad faith, but your edits have not improved the article. Please refrain from undoing the edits I have made and focus on adding useful material to the text. If you dispute any material or edits currently on the page, please discuss this on the talk page, thank you. Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 16:00, 7 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Riya Iyer S Menon you have ignored my message to you and continued to make unhelpful edits on the Netrikann (2021 film) page. Wikipedia is a collaborative effort and you are not living up to that standard. Please stop making disruptive edits. Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 15:13, 8 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Revirvlkodlaku: :I removed the redlinks around Milind Rau as there is No page exist for that particular person.Removing redlinks around such persons or articles without an existing page is not wrong, but fine and applicable.I never continued to make unhelpful edits on the Netrikann (2021 film) page.You are misunderstanding over my edits.It is an upcoming movie.No much details are revealed about it with more reliable sources.So, I corrected some of them.That's it.Never make an issue over it.kindly keep doing good edits.Riya Iyer S Menon 13:32, 12 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Riya Iyer S Menon thank you for your response. Redlinks in an article serve the purpose of inviting other editors to create a new article where one is warranted, and in this way they help the project grow, so removing them is not necessarily a good thing. Please be sure to make constructive edits and not to reassert grammar errors after they have been corrected. All the best. Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 14:57, 9 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Riya Iyer S Menon, it appears clear to me that you are set on continuing to make disruptive edits on this page. Despite repeated attempts on my part to ask you in a civil manner that you desist from unconstructive editing, you persist in the same manner. I can see from other comments on your talk page that your editing privileges have been suspended in the past. This is your last warning from me. Stop making disruptive edits. Your editing privileges will be suspended if you continue. Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 16:59, 13 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Don't remove templates if you don't know what they're for

edit

Re: this, you inexplicably removed the {{hlist}} template, which was properly formatted, and replaced it with HTML line breaks, which is not the preferred way to format the content in this field. Don't make changes if you don't know what you are doing. And yet again, if you are editing infoboxes, you need to read the instructions. See Template:Infobox person, which clearly indicates that a flat list should be included in the |occupation= parameter. You did something similar in these edits, where you removed various maintenance templates from the top of the article, like {{short description}}, {{Use DMY dates}} and {{Use Indian English}}. And, there's no point in adding "model" to her occupation since the article says nothing about her being a model. The occupation parameter should summarise the occupations that make the subject notable. If you keep making ill-advised edits that bring the article out of alignment with community preferences, your editing privileges will be interrupted. Again. Middle Class Abbayi

edit

Re: these changes, you can't editorialise in articles by talking about "impressive comebacks". Wikipedia isn't a blog. If a specific source describe someone's comeback as impressive, then you would have to quote that or otherwise attribute it to a specific voice. The claim that the film received average reviews is not sourced either. You are not a critical response aggregator, so you don't get to decide what the overall response was. We need secondary sources to say that. You also claimed that it was the 8th highest-grossing Telugu film of 2017, but where's the source for that? Wikipedia? You can't use Wikipedia as a reference. That's a basic concept here. WP:UGC. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 00:20, 26 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Improper tone, etc.

edit

Re: this, you're copying too much from the Indian trade sites and entertainment blogs, etc. Actors don't get "roped in", they get "signed" or "brought in". Further, it seems you aren't even clear on what the sources said, because there's no indication that Shetty was signed or officially "roped in". Bollywood Hungama says "In her next film with Prabhas entitled Saaho, Anushka makes her full-fledged Hindi debut." Well, that clearly didn't happen, right? And your phrasing suggests that she signed a contract when we don't know that to be true. It might be fair to say that she was considered for the role or even that "Anushka Shetty was offered the role, but had to decline when Saaho's filming schedule conflicted with her work on ___". Do you see the difference?

Additionally, we don't use ampersands (these → &&&) in encyclopedic prose, we use the word "and". This is basic English. We communicate in words, not in symbols. Note also that Filmibeat is not a reliable source. How you've made it this far without knowing that, is a mystery to me. We don't care about blogs or content aggregators or other faceless websites, and we also don't care about gossip blogs like Filmibeat or Bollywoodlife, or any of the others. See WP:RS and see also WP:ICTFSOURCES so that maybe you can get a basic understanding of sources that are considered suitable.

Re: this, you miscapitalised "mother", which is not a proper noun, and you added a reference for something that isn't likely to be controversial. If the film was released, it likely has onscreen credits, right? And in those credits I'm sure Tamannaah is mentioned, no? If she is, then that's all we need. A primary source (the film itself) can be used as a reference for uncontroversial claims, like who was in the film.

I have faith in your ability to edit here constructively, but it's important that you expand your understanding of proper English, and unfortunately, Wikipedia is not a school. If you consistently demonstrate an inability to adhere to English norms and other editing norms, we are likely going to have a problem. So please, listen, try to understand, and grow. And please know that my admonishments are not personal. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:00, 29 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Awards

edit

Hi there, re: this, per WP:FILMCRITICLIST, we only care about notable awards, which typically means awards that have Wikipedia articles, where notability has been properly established.

Additionally, you seem to be confusing a non-notable award mill, the Dadasaheb Phalke Awards South, with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, an award issued by the Indian government. In the latter, a single award is issued to someone who has made a significant contribution to Indian cinema. It is essentially a lifetime achievement award. Jyothika did not win such an award. This award is typically given to an older person, someone who has dedicated their entire career to film. Please don't confuse this significant award with one of the many award mills that use Dadasaheb Phalke's name. See WP:DADASAHEB for more information. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 05:42, 2 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Again, stop fluffing up articles with non-notable award mill content like you have done again here. Read the above about these Dadasaheb Phalke award mills. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:30, 2 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Cyphoidbomb:

What's the mistake of having that award in that article.It is a recognition for south stars at National Level.Why we hesitate to show them rather than hiding or removing southern star's achievements.What's the point??? Riya Iyer S Menon 19:60, 2 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Competency

edit

Re: this, if you continue to demonstrate a lack of competence, you will be blocked. It's getting really annoying having to clean up after you constantly. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:53, 2 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Cyphoidbomb:

Sorry I didn't get you can you explain about it..Thanks for your valuable notes and advices..  Riya Iyer S Menon 19:56, 2 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I know you don't understand, that's a major part of the problem, i.e. your lack of English competency. You have to be able to function here and communicate with other editors and understand the policies and guidelines of the English Wikipedia, which means that you need a stronger understanding of English. In the link above, you seem to not understand that the |birth_name= parameter is for the subject's full name. That's not acceptable.
And last warning re: edits like this. We do not use discussion forums or any source that is built by members of the general public. No IMDB, no blogs, no unverified twitter accounts, no Wikipedia, no fandom.com. See WP:RS and WP:ICTFSOURCES. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 22:42, 2 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
This is yet another problem. In a section where we would theoretically talk aboug Keerthy Suresh's upcoming projects, you pasted content that tells us that she was not cast in something. And, you pasted it in the middle of an existing sentence. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:18, 3 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Re: this, you can't copy content from other sources as you did here. This is both plagiarism, it's also a copyright violation, as the content can be found verbatim here. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 22:42, 6 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

You were blocked for lacking the sufficient competency to edit at Wikipedia, which is somewhat evident in the malformed unblock request you posted above. Your lack of English skills makes it very difficult to communicate with you effectively, your contributions are rife with grammatical and typographical errors, you fail to understand that the Dadasaheb Phalke Award issued by the Indian government is not the same as the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Festival Award South, you keep using ampersands instead of the word "and", and in these edits (where we see some more examples of the above) you stole content about Ponmagal Vandhal that was almost identical to content found at TOI (among other sources). Do you need more examples:
  • Plot summary added here was copied from here. So you seem unaware of basic rules about plagiarism and copyright violations.
  • Here you don't know how to format a reference.
  • Here you apparently are unaware of WP:OVERLINK, since there's already a link to Shaji Kailas in that paragraph. It's also a strange choice to call him "Director Shaji" since that seems like it's his name, as opposed to "director Shaji", which describes what role he played, but you are also unaware that per WP:SURNAME (or more specifically, English grammar norms), we would refer to him by his surname, i.e. "director Kailas".
  • Here you again use "...stars...in lead roles" language despite previously being told that this is redundant.
  • Here you create a wikilink to Reality show for no clear reason. That just demonstrates that you don't understand how wikilinking works or why we use them.
And lastly, I'm not convinced that you're here to build a neutral encyclopedia. While some of your changes are constructive, it's become a real burden to have to hold your hand and explain everything that you're doing wrong, only to have you not understand what the problems are.

@Cyphoidbomb:,

  • Yes my English is very poor, as am from village side in south india, but you need to understand one (me) and make posssible of teaching or guiding me with better ways, rather than making arguments and disparaging or defaming ,continuosly over my lack of English over each of my edits in a very insulting manner repeatedly..each time....be a friend or convey in a friendly way.
  • In the case of Dadasaheb Phalke Award,I know that Dadasaheb Phalke Award issued by the Indian government is not the same as the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Festival Award South, I just removed that by replacing it with Dadasaheb Phalke Film Festival Award South. I provided it on the pages of some of the winners including Jyothika , Dhanush etc. But you keep removing it from the page Jyothika..Isn't she the winner of that award? Several reference says she is a winner.but when i provided it in her article about that you just undid / revetred all my edits to previous version...for a simple thing you just reverted my other contribution from that page... somewhere i feel a partiality towards your way of likings...also a page Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards South was also created by someone...even after that why are you making south artists down...? They are too artists nah????
  • For Ponmagal vandhal ...when someone says about reviews regarding a movie or artist's performance...we mention that particle words or sentence in that article...you may be aware of this...also i have read and seen it in many of articles here...Then why you making problem in my case only?????????????????/
  • here In the case of Jyeshta (film) ,it was my mistake...i was unaware of basic rules about plagiarism and copyright violations...then mention me the basic rules... i will make my way of words to provide plot...
  • In the case of Valliettan providing a reference is a mistake.?It says about the remake movie Jyeshta (film), kannada version of Valliettan movie
  • Here , Shaji kailas not only a director...predominantly he works as director and known better for his direction, but also appeared in other roles behind the camera and infront too.
  • I already mentioned you in the case of doing edits over article Vani Bhojan, about the user; Eswnav , but each time you never made an attempt to block that user...but you are after me for several simple ( most of them were) mistakes... and blocked me purposefully... why??

Likewise you are simply avoiding and rejecting my other efforts here in a silly way...Effort is Effort...we all learn from mistakes...why can't you just guide me ...rather than rejecting , suppressing our passion towards here...??? And finally, I'm not convinced that you're here to make strong and right decisions, but making us discouraging...not yet tried to make us feel as a Better Guide, except a few good advices...

Thank you...Riya Iyer S Menon 14:04, 13 January 2021 (UTC) {{unblock|reason=Kindly Unblock me from my wikipedia edits, & I appologise for my mistakes..will not try to make mistakes..and guide me through out my passion. Awaiting for a positive response}}(talk) 20:14, 13 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Why can't he/she saw the best things i have contributed to wikipedia. Please help me to solve my problem. Riya Iyer S Menon, 20:14, 21 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Riya Iyer S Menon, I saw that you were blocked and I am afraid I have to tell you that I understand the rationale and agree with it. I believe Cyphoidbomb has been very patient and has repeatedly explained why many of your edits have not been constructive. Cyphoidbomb even took the trouble of responding to your first attempted unblock request and explaining in some detail what some of the problems were. They also pointed out to you that your unblock request was not working because it was malformed, but your second request is malformed in the same way. If you do post an actual, working unblock request, all administrators will be able to see that you have done so, because all unblock requests from editors are listed at a special page. What was the problem with your request? You copied the code from the page source and included the "tlx" code which stops the request from showing up – in spite of the fact that the page source clearly instructs you not to include that part! As Cyphoidbomb points out, this is an example of the problems that led to your block in the first place. An editor who is not able to understand instructions and explanations may be blocked, not because the editor does not want to improve Wikipedia, but because because it takes so much time for other editors to help them, and fix the errors caused by their lack of understanding.
That your command of English is not strong is not a crime, it just makes it very hard for you to contribute well in an English-only context. Other editors may also be problematic but that is a different issue. If you create another unblock request you should not mention other editors, only explain how your own editing will change, and what you will do to avoid the same problems happening again. --bonadea contributions talk 10:24, 21 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
I agree with Bonadea—not having a strong command of English is not a crime. We have many editors with limited English skills who still find ways to contribute constructively. But when these limitations impact your ability to understand community guidelines, to understand the warnings you've been given, and to communicate effectively with others, it becomes a problem. I don't think you are a bad person, Riya, and the block is not meant to be personal. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:28, 21 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
(talk page stalker) If you ever are unsure whether an edit is grammatically correct, you can always request the edit on the article's talk page, where other editors can see and if necessary improve your edits. Steve M (talk) 03:43, 22 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

This your third unblock request that isn't formatted properly. Each time you submit an incorrectly-formatted unblock request, despite the fact that two editors explained that you didn't format it correctly, just highlights your inability to follow directions or edit at the English Wikipedia constructively, regardless of your heart-felt intentions. User:Riya Iyer S Menon you need to stop harassing other users to unblock you. Even if you saying you done a mistake but still you are not getting away with this. So please just go and do something else rather than coming here and harassing and making personal attacks at other users to unblock you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:4C8:41:2AA:4CCB:21DF:BF17:F27B (talk) 12:14, 2 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
