- It fine to reply on your own talk page, but sometime people don't see. In general I think it is best to reply on the talk page of the article in question (if appropriate) or reply on the your talk page leave a message on their talk page saying you replied on your own, see WP:TALK#How_to_keep_a_two-way_conversation_readable for more. In any event, I watched your page so I would see if you responded. I didn't feel the need to add anything else, but I appreciated the thanks. Jon513 17:57, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
Messianic Judaism
editHi RivkaRebecca. Wikipedia's three main content policies are WP:NOR, WP:V, and WP:NPOV. Ideally every item in every article should conform to these standards. Unfortunately, the Messianic Judaism article has suffered from having almost nothing in it verified by reliable sources. If you can find some, that would be helpful. Jayjg (talk) 21:08, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
- You can certainly state Messianic beliefs as beliefs; you cannot place them in the article as fact. Jayjg (talk) 21:25, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Rivka. I was wondering if you could comment on the Messianic Judaism revision on the Messianic Judaism talk page. I was curious to know what you think of it - and I'd love your input. inigmatus 15:06, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
Hi and FYI
editHi Rivka: Nice to meet you. Please be aware that there is another user, in fact a highly experienced admin with a similar user name to yours. She is User:Rebecca. I have told her that your user name is similar to hers in case of any confusion. Thanks. IZAK 05:54, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
I have submitted a dispute case both at : Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2006-06-13 Messianic Judaism and Requests_for_mediation#Messianic_Judaism

reply from jbolden
editI agree with Avi. I am feeling a bit bad that we cannot come to some conclusion. I actually do not have enough time to dedicate to the subject and so all I can deliver to support my claims is my emotional personal POV. And I am sorry for that. I don't feel however, that either side is willing to let this article rest. I may or may not return to the Messianic Judaism page. I do know that, to the goal of those that are so-called anti-missionaries, the page in its current state could not be used by any MJ as a definition of who we are as a people, neither what we believe. So at this point I feel as if they've won. Anyway, thanks for your attempts, JBolden. Perhaps amongst ourselves one side or the other will break and something will subside. G-d's will be done. Rivka 17:48, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
They did "win", you should feel that way. But if you ever do have the time I'd be happy to help you get an article which fairly describes MJism. Jayjg above (though he doesn't use the term) seems to be wiling to have an article that describes MJism providing its in the "MJ voice" and not the wikipedia voice. If you want to see an example an article that used to be hostile and has gotten more fair since I got involved before current. jbolden1517Talk 01:02, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

editRivka, I don't know what's happening with the Messianic Judaism page any more. I've practically given up. Maybe I shouldn't give up, but man this is hard to keep pushing to get the paged worked on. inigmatus 20:35, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
I just posted the revision on Messianic Judaism. Let's see where it goes. inigmatus 21:32, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

Naming your Child
editWill you use the standard Jewish naming (Isaac, Joseph, Moshe, Sarah, Esther, Yochan, etc.) when finding a name for your baby? Simply curiousity. TY 12.65.216.68 20:50, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
Just in response -- and since I have not been online since before 10/27, when they decided to induce my labor -- my husband named our SON and his name is Aaron. So I suppose then, that the answer is yes, lol. Rivka 03:58, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on User:RivkaRebecca/Alex Haley's Queen, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because User:RivkaRebecca/Alex Haley's Queen is a test page.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting User:RivkaRebecca/Alex Haley's Queen, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. Proposed deletion of Queen: The Story of an American Family (disambiguation)
editA proposed deletion template has been added to the article Queen: The Story of an American Family (disambiguation), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- The title "Queen: The Story of an American Family" (as of right now) doesn't refer to multiple things and therefore shouldn't have it's own disambig page according to WP:DISAMBIG.
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Killiondude (talk) 08:10, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
- I gave you feedback on WP:FEED#Alex Haley's Queen, and I explained a little more about why I prodded both the disambig pages you created related to Queen. Killiondude (talk) 08:26, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
