Managing a conflict of interest

Thanks for the headsup, jmertel23. I respect the COI policy and have attempted not to make significant edits to the article (which I did not originally create, and I don't believe it constitutes autobiography, as others chose what facts and what not to include and how to cite them). A review of my edits shows that I have corrected minor grammatical errors and made a few updates (occupational status, new films I have produced, fixed errors relating to numbers of films in the collection, etc.). None of these changes have, in my opinion, affected the emphasis or POV of the article.

If changes of this sort constitute COI, I'll refrain from further such edits. However, I'd appreciate your clarification on whether it violates COI policy when, for instance, I update references to "associate professor" to "professor" when my academic status changes, or when the number of online films hosted at Internet Archive changes over time.

I appreciate any clarification you may be able to offer.

Hi. I love what you do with the Prelinger archives. However please resist the urge to add items that you were involved with: Prelinger is listed as a collaborator on that show. Query about the blue box photo

I saw your post on the Blue Box talk page... am I interpreting it correctly, this was your personal BB at some point in time? If so, I want to hear that story! Maury Markowitz (talk) 14:56, 5 December 2019 (UTC)

I bought it from Wozniak and Jobs in spring 1972, when they walked the dorms at UC Berkeley selling these. I knew what they were after reading the Ron Rosenbaum article. See pages 4 and 5 of this: http://ed-thelen.org/comp-hist/TCMR-V17.pdf. They put on a long evening demo in my dorm room.
