DYK for Hayao Miyazaki
On 12 July 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Hayao Miyazaki, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Hayao Miyazaki aspired to become a manga artist but found he could not draw people, instead drawing primarily planes, tanks, and battleships for several years? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Hayao Miyazaki. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Hayao Miyazaki), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

"Third-person shooter"
Hello, Rhain! I just wanted to ask you that we should remove third person shooter from video games because its not a game genre, it is a perspective in which we can shoot. Your opinion regarding this matter. Thanks! ☺ Pure conSouls (talk) 16:56, 4 August 2017 (UTC)
Are you there? Pure conSouls (talk) 08:57, 5 August 2017 (UTC)
- Third-person shooter is technically a subgenre, just as first-person shooter is a genre. The article for Max Payne 3 states that "third-person shooter" is the game's only genre, and thus its inclusion could likely be argued; however, The Last of Us is primarily a survival horror action-adventure game played from a third-person perspective, and as such I wouldn't state that "third-person shooter" is its genre. I'm rather apathetic though—I'm sure the open discussion will reach some sort of consensus. – Rhain ☔ 04:30, 6 August 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for your opinion. I only wanted to remove third-person shooters from GTA articles, just stating action-adventure as its genre is enough. Just like we don't add open world as its genre. Pure conSouls (talk) 07:37, 6 August 2017 (UTC)
Hello there, Rhain! Why don't you join this discussion at wikiproject video games as well? Pure conSouls (talk) 11:11, 6 August 2017 (UTC)
Blood Fest
Hey – just wanted to apologise for that one. I overlooked that you put "Filming" in – disregard that revert I made. Thanks. 4TheWynne(talk)(contribs) 13:18, 7 August 2017 (UTC)
- @4TheWynne: No worries, I understand the caution—the original reference I provided doesn't state anything about filming, so you're right to be sceptical. I apologise for the abruptness in my edit summary. I appreciate your message. – Rhain ☔ 13:20, 7 August 2017 (UTC)
Everywhere
Hello, Rhain! Is there a E at the last in the stylized name? I'm using my smartphone to access wikipedia and I couldn't see the last stylized E! Pure conSouls (talk) 12:11, 9 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Pure conSouls: The symbol should look like this: Ǝ. I can see it on my computer and my iPhone—perhaps your smartphone doesn't support it? – Rhain ☔ 22:01, 9 August 2017 (UTC)
Your right, my phone doesn't support it. Thanks! Pure conSouls (talk) 09:24, 10 August 2017 (UTC)
Grand Theft Auto V development TFA
Hey Rhain! Long time no see, hope you've been well. Just wanted to let you know I'm still editing sporadically when I can, and I've recently been having a bit of a look at Development of Grand Theft Auto V. I'm in the process of copy-editing the whole thing, but I've also made some large-scale page layout changes, added some free images, and expanded some sections out (the re-release section in particular). I'd like to get the article peer reviewed again and submit it for TFA for this September 17 (the game's six-year anniversary). Will you be around at all to help with this process? And do you have any feedback/concerns regarding my recent changes? Hope you've been well! CR4ZE (t • c) 11:37, 15 August 2017 (UTC)
- Hey CR4ZE! Sorry for my lack of response—I've been a little inactive over the past few days. In saying that, I would be very glad to help with this process. Development of Grand Theft Auto V has always been one of my favourite articles, and is constantly my point of reference when writing/editing other development articles, so I would be happy to see it on the front page (again). I love the work you've done on it! I think moving "Business" to the bottom is a logical decision, and the added free images help bring the article to life. I'll definitely leave comments or make some edits if I spot any errors, but at the moment I can't really find anything to critique. It is definitely TFA material. Feel free to get in touch if you want my help or opinion on anything; for the time being, I'll be monitoring the article as usual. Glad to see you're still around—your editing has always inspired me. Hope you've been well. – Rhain ☔ 08:10, 18 August 2017 (UTC)
- Not a problem at all! You're telling me—I've been a little inactive over the past few years! Just to let you know, I've gone and submitted the article over at WP:TFAR so the ball is already rolling. As I've made some fairly big changes in recent days, I'm going to open up a discussion on the talk page as a sort of unofficial peer review, and notify the project so that other WP:VG volunteers can glaze their eyes over the article and check everything is still up to scratch. If you're around to assist me with dealing any issues raised between now and September 17, that would be amazing. Feel free to have a look over everything at the article, and if you can make any improvements to it, go right ahead! Hope you've been well too mate. Cheers. CR4ZE (t • c) 16:09, 22 August 2017 (UTC)
Italics
Hello, Rhain! I think we should not use the italic font for the stylized name of the game if it's name is of different style. For example, Watch Dogs 2 stylized as WATCH_DOGS 2 (not the italic font). Opinion regarding this matter. Thanks ☺ Pure conSouls (talk) 11:28, 24 August 2017 (UTC)
Hey Rhain. Currently cleaning out the Draft pages for the Video Game Project. Was wondering if you have plans to mainspace the GTA V Music article soon. GamerPro64 16:53, 17 September 2017 (UTC)
- @GamerPro64: Thanks for bringing that to my attention, I understand it has been sitting around for a while. I do plan to mainspace it at some point, though I'm not sure how soon it will be. I have an offline copy of the article stored, so if you're looking to delete/redirect it, feel free. – Rhain ☔ 09:48, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
Please use the article's talk page.
I'm expecting your explanation! ---- 91.10.63.67 (talk) 00:27, 24 November 2017 (UTC)
- I left my reasoning in my edit summary. Per WP:TVPRODUCTION, any information relevant to the development and design of the episode should be included. Just look at the pilot episodes for Parks and Recreation, House, Smallville, or Supernatural (all FAs) for further examples of this. – Rhain ☔ 00:47, 24 November 2017 (UTC)
- You want to use edit summaries as a platform for a discussion?
- Use the talk page. ---- 91.10.63.67 (talk) 01:01, 24 November 2017 (UTC)
- Per H:ES: "An edit summary is a brief explanation of an edit to a Wikipedia page." I didn't use the summary as a platform for discussion, nor did I ever claim to—I was only briefly explaining my edit. As you are trying to change the status quo, you are required to leave a message on the talk page explaining your edits, instead of using edit summaries as a platform for discussion, as you have been doing. – Rhain ☔ 01:09, 24 November 2017 (UTC)
- I'm looking forward to your discussion with User:Mahveotm about the proper use of edit summaries.
- For the discussion of the change, please turn to the talk page. ---- 91.10.63.67 (talk) 01:16, 24 November 2017 (UTC)

Hi. I see that you're the one who uploaded the image "The Last of Us Remastered.jpg". However, I noticed that the image uploaded doesn't match the image in the source provided. Did you take the image from a different source? Or did you take the image from the source provided then edited it? -- Wrath X (talk) 07:18, 15 December 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Wrath X. It was quite a while ago when I uploaded that image, so I'm not entirely sure of the circumstances there. There's a possibility that IGN updated their image after I used it, but the most likely scenario is that I made some minor edits to the image. Apologies for the confusion. – Rhain ☔ 00:20, 17 December 2017 (UTC)
