This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Janet Biggs, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.jbiggs.com/bio.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 22:45, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Janet Biggs
editA tag has been placed on Janet Biggs requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. editHello Rcmar! Your additions to Janet Biggs have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.

- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, Rcmar. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Janet Biggs, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template)—don't forget to give details of reliable sources supporting your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Please confirm whether you have a conflict of interest, as defined above. Thank you. Tacyarg (talk) 17:37, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, thank you for adding references. Please would you answer the question about whether you have a conflict of interest regarding Janet Biggs? Thank you. Tacyarg (talk) 21:30, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
- Good morning! Yes, I'm Janet Biggs' husband. I occasionally edit her page to do updates based on reliably sourced, published materials. Rcmar (talk) 13:38, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
- I'm reviewing the Wiki recommendations for conflict of interest. I will add a "connected contributor" box to the page, indicating my relationship to the subject. Thanks again. Rcmar (talk) 14:16, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for replying. Please don't edit the article about your wife directly; you can request changes on the article's Talk page. Tacyarg (talk) 20:20, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
- Janet Biggs has had about a dozen art exhibits in past several years, none are on here. There are also several dozen major recent articles and publications that reference her work that aren't listed. Should I post all the material here on "talk"? If so, who edits the page? What's the timing? Rcmar (talk) 21:26, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, if there's missing information, if you use the request edit function and specify the changes you want made and the source information, uninvolved editors who follow requested edits will see them. No specific timescale, as far as I know. The WP:TEAHOUSE can probably advise you further. Tacyarg (talk) 21:48, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
