electoral systems

edit

(List of electoral systems by country) In the United Kingdom section, how about adding:

Hi, I was also thinking that the list is incomplete / inconsistent. Just finished the list of countries on the page Majoritarian representation which already has dependencies included, but have not yet cross checked a lot with the full list of electoral systems by country, which is also seems out of date at many points.

From my part, feel free to add them, although I think dependencies should probably have a background color to clearly differentiate with the legislatures and heads of state.

Multi-round voting moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Multi-round voting, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ~StyyxTalk? 21:01, 6 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Draft:Multi-round voting

edit

Hello, Rankedchoicevoter. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Multi-round voting".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Voting systems discussion

edit

Hi, just wanted to ask if you happen to be on the Wikimedia Discord; I've noticed you around and was interested in talking to you about some voting systems articles. Closed Limelike Curves (talk) 15:38, 13 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Conditional electoral system moved to draftspace

edit

Thanks for your contributions to Conditional electoral system. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and the single source utilized does not include the term "conditional electoral system". I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 19:43, 9 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

File:Electoral systems map block voting.svg

edit

You've listed Singapore as using this electoral system. Votes in a group representation constituency is via "teams", where you cannot split the ticket as explained in Plurality block voting#Example. This means it's not an example of this and has to be de-colored. Howard the Duck (talk) 23:03, 3 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

It is shown in a different color (party block voting) than the version where you can split your vote Rankedchoicevoter (talk) 08:04, 4 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
FWIW, the colors don't refer to the method of voting (whether candidate or team) but to which chamber the electoral system is used. Howard the Duck (talk) 15:16, 4 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
