Speedy deletion nomination of Skull gang album
editA tag has been placed on Skull gang album requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Universal Records, Inc., and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.universalrecords.com.ph/company.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 08:10, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for File:Index ic001.gif
editThanks for uploading or contributing to File:Index ic001.gif. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 15:57, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

editThanks for uploading the file File:Index ic001.gif. I have renamed the file File:Recording Industry of Japan Logo 85px by 49px.gif and added it to the infobox in the article Recording Industry Association of Japan If you upload an image, please try to give it a really good name which will explain what the image is. -- Eastmain (talk) 19:09, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:Toy'sFactoryLogo.svg
editThank you for uploading File:Toy'sFactoryLogo.svg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Skier Dude (talk) 08:12, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

editWelcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Ken the 390. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Orphaned non-free image File:Feelin'You-CD.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Feelin'You-CD.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 06:18, 12 December 2009 (UTC)

Polystar / Trattoria Records
editHi. The Polystar website does not mention anything about Universal Music Group being a parent company. It appears that Universal Music Japan is only the distributor, and the label itself is independent. In that case it does not belong on List of Universal Music Group labels under Japan. Replaceable fair use File:01 SARAMARY 610350.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:01 SARAMARY 610350.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add

, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 02:43, 16 April 2010 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Dohzi-t.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Dohzi-t.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as article name or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Hekerui (talk) 22:45, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Copyright problems with File:Tom Yoda.jpg
editHello. Concerning your contribution, File:Tom Yoda.jpg, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.tylimited.co.jp/img/yoda.jpg. As a copyright violation, File:Tom Yoda.jpg appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. File:Tom Yoda.jpg has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.
If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:
- If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at File talk:Tom Yoda.jpg and send an email with the message to permissions-en wikimedia.org. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that it is licensed under the CC-BY-SA license, leave a note at File talk:Tom Yoda.jpg with a link to where we can find that note.
- If you hold the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the CC-BY-SA and GFDL, and note that you have done so on File talk:Tom Yoda.jpg.
However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. Hekerui (talk) 22:45, 26 May 2010 (UTC)

License tagging for File:NCCL Logo.gif
editThanks for uploading File:NCCL Logo.gif. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 08:06, 2 October 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for your interest in RT Documentary
editBoth RT and RT Documentary are very useful to me. I have great respect for RT Documentary and would like to see the article expanded. I am amazed by the quality of the videos on the channel. It is great that the channel is freely available for anyone to view througout the world. There are no channels similar to RT or RTD that I know of from my country, the U.S. or Canada that I can watch on line due to "legal restrictions." I can listen to but can not watch DW from Germany for the same reason. I refuse to pay the very high cable fees for the advertisement heavy (about ten minutes per half hour) news channels from my country.1archie99 (talk) 13:42, 26 August 2011 (UTC)

editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia, as you did in Being Inc., makes it harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. DragonZero (Talk · Contribs) 01:13, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to Being Inc.. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. You can not use the Japanese Wiki as a source for all that information. Your edits will be reverted unless you can provide a reliable source. DragonZero (Talk · Contribs) 23:16, 30 September 2011 (UTC)

Marvelous Alejo's signature
editHello. I write to you regarding the image File:MarvsAlejoSign.JPG. I see that you have tagged this "self", indicating that you created the work. But this is Marvelous Alejo's signature. Are you claiming to be Marvelous Alejo? Your user page however identifies you as someone else. Please clarify. If you are not Marvelous Alejo then you improperly tagged the image and should correct it. If you are, you should be aware of our WP:conflict of interest policies, which would discourage you from editing an article about yourself. Morwen (Talk) 16:51, 27 November 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry to bother you again, but I notice you haven't replied to my above message regarding image copyright/tagging, but have made a number of edits subsequently. I'd appreciate a response. Thanks, Morwen (Talk) 14:22, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
- Hello. I see you have still declined to reply to my questions. I have looked back at your contributions and found at least two other images you have also represented as being your own work, which are signatures of other people. File:VinAbrenicaSign.JPG, File:SophieAlbertSign.JPG. Because of this I am forced to conclude that you are none of these people and have indeed falsely tagged the images. I therefore have tagged all three of these with the "wrong licence" template. If you are aware of any other images you have mistagged, now would be a good time to come clean and fix their tags. I really would encourage you to reply: this is a collaborative project and communication with other users is an essential part of it. Morwen (Talk) 19:45, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
- Hello, User:Morwen!
Thanks and apologies for my late reply. I want to clarify that I didn't claim I am Marvelous Alejo or any other person you mentioned. I recognize the provisions on copyright and intellectual property. Do not worry, I will try to fix this mess. Again, my sincere apologies. RafaelPPascual (talk) 06:55, 25 January 2013 (UTC)
- Hello. Can you please explain how these signatures are screenshots of free software? This would also appear to be an incorrect tag. Morwen (Talk) 23:12, 28 January 2013 (UTC)
- Hello. Please respond to the above comment. All these images still have incorrect tags. Unless you can provide documentation that the copyright owners have specifically released them to us, then if we are to have them on Wikipedia then they need to have some kind of "fair use" tag on. The idea that they are screenshots of free software is nonsensical: does that mean simply that you took a screenshot of Firefox or some other free browser while it was displaying the page of the website, and are claiming that anything viewed in a free browser automatically becomes free??? My view is that they would be unlikely to meet the guidelines for having that, even if they were tagged properly. Morwen (Talk) 12:44, 4 March 2013 (UTC)

Arbitration case request declined
editHi Rafael! In response to your request for arbitration of this issue, the Arbitration Committee has agreed that arbitration is not required at this stage. Arbitration on Wikipedia is a lengthy, complicated process that involves the unilateral adjudication of a dispute by an elected committee. Although our decisions can be useful to certain disputes, in many cases the actual process of arbitration is unenjoyable and time-consuming. Moreover, for most disputes the community maintains an effective set of mechanisms for reaching a compromise or resolving a grievance.
As the other users have said above you should start a discussion on the article's talk page, and if required request a third opinion. Please review Wikipedia:Dispute resolution to learn more about resolving disputes on Wikipedia.
The English Wikipedia community has many venues for resolving disputes and grievances, and it is important to explore them instead of requesting arbitration in the first instance. The the Arbitrators' opinions may also provide some guidance. For more information on the process of arbitration, please see the Arbitration Policy and the Guide to Arbitration. I hope this advice is useful, and please do not hesitate to contact a member of the community if you have more questions.

editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Shortcake (Yuki Kashiwagi song), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Digital download (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I just discovered the WP:BLP violating edits you performed to the article in December. There are no reliable sources that state that Yui's full name is "Yui Yoshioka" or that it is written using the kanji you put on the page here.—Ryulong (琉竜) 00:38, 28 February 2013 (UTC)

editWhy did you move the SEKAI NO OWARI page? The capitalized version is the correct title of the band, and unless something else shares its name there's no need to disambiguate. --BigPimpinBrah (talk) 20:14, 17 April 2013 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:CJENMMusic.jpg
editThanks for uploading or contributing to File:CJENMMusic.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 19:01, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
File:YBMSeoulRecords.jpg missing description details
editis missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the image, and it will be more informative to readers.
If you have any questions, please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 15:55, 7 July 2013 (UTC)Speedy deletion nomination of File:VDC Office.jpg
editA tag has been placed on File:VDC Office.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the Non-free fair use tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Stefan2 (talk) 20:40, 9 July 2013 (UTC)

Tagalog help needed
editHello Rafael, I'm contacting you because we need some Tagalog translators to help with the deployment of the new VisualEditor on tl.wikipedia. There are help pages, user guides, and description pages that need translating, as well as the interface itself. The translating work is going on over on MediaWiki: Translation Central. I also need help with a personal message for the Tagalog Wikipedians. If you are able to help in any way, either reply here, or head over to TranslationCentral. Thanks for your time, PEarley (WMF) (talk) 18:36, 2 September 2013 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (File:EmiCmgHDR.jpg)
editThanks for uploading File:EmiCmgHDR.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Werieth (talk) 17:03, 5 September 2013 (UTC)

Good move! wikidata:Q12609514 was missing, so I missed local wiki (remedied) :D
Do you do many inter-wikilinks? I like to place a redirect on the destination wiki, to link WP:NOPIPE-ishly, e.g. currently destination-redlinks, Wellmade Star M or Wellmade Star M or Wellmade Star M.
See what I mean? tear down
However, the redirects sometimes get torndown by an overzealous destination-wiki editor. <musical pun> Girl's Day - Control (Audio) on YouTube via Last.FM/user/IanAR/library/music/Girl's+Day/_/Control</musical pun>
I think a protocol for this would be a boon, but've found no guidance – Do you know of any (international) consensus on that or where such might be formed?

The template is not a category, it shouldn't have all subsidiaries of LOEN and others listed, just because they are subsidiaries. Polaris Entertainment
editHi there. While your edits are appreciated, I had to revert and change a few pertaining to the name changing of Polaris Entertainment. I could not find any sources that specify that the company is called "Ilgwang Polaris Entertainment" as news articles and their own website (in archives) is note as just "Polaris". The changes can be undone though, provided if you can find reliable sources that say otherwise. Thank youRockysmile11 (talk) 17:15, 9 September 2014 (UTC)
Proofs? Here are they.
editI have proof/s that the company's name is officially - Ilgwang Polaris Entertainment. 1. https://web.archive.org/web/20130511223704/http://www.polarisent.co.kr/html/1-1_about_introduction.html - You can see the Hangul (주)일광 폴라리스 엔터테인먼트 (translation: Ilgwang Polaris Entertainment Limited). 2. http://www.iggy.co.kr/eng/business/polaris.asp - Website of Polaris' parent company Ilgwang Group, which mentions, "A cultural messenger that shares in happiness by dreaming big and together with others... IL GWANG Polaris". 3. http://static.askkpop.com/article/Kim-Tae_Woo_Goes_to_Court_Against_His_Company/ - "In response to Kim Tae Woo asking for the early termination of contract from his company, his company decided to sue Kim Tae Woo and two of his managers for scam and not following the contract.
One law official said “Ilgwang Polaris sued Kim Tae Woo and two of his managers for scam and other unlawful acts and are expected to be aggressive in the upcoming battles.”"
I hope these will enlighten you. RafaelPPascual (talk) 17:29, 9 September 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you for the response. The sources you provided seem like the company's legal name is "Ilgwang Polaris Entertainment Ltd" though most of their social media sites (and on your second point in the paragraph below) show up as Polaris Entertainment; example 1, example 2 & example 3. In this case, I think its better to leave the current name because it is more commonly known to the public & news sites as stated in WP:RECOGNIZABLE, as not all official names are the best fit (see WP:OFFICIAL). However if an article of the company is ever create, it should still acknowledge both by saying "Ilgwang Polaris Entertainment Ltd. (doing business as Polaris Entertainment) is a South Korean record label & talent agency..." Hopefully that provides you with enough info. Rockysmile11 (talk) 18:13, 9 September 2014 (UTC)
