Re:Smallworld
Hi, I just saw you had cancelled my edits on the Smallworld page. I don't see why you reverted it. There doesn't seem to be any visible difference. FYI, I don't vandalise pages. I happen to have worked with Smallworld for over 25 years, and have fixed this article at times when I raw something wrong or broken. I am also the author of the first french version of this article, that has been vandalised many times since, and finally removed by some git who thinks french-speaking people shouldn't know about Smallworld. I gave up fixing it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gisfrog (talk • contribs) 15:36, 25 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Gisfrog: Hi and thanks for your message. Your edit to Smallworld was reverted because you removed a maintenance template without adequately explaining why. I should have added an explanatory template message to your talk page but it appears I forgot too (us long-time editors are not all perfect either, eh?) so I apologize for the confusion. The message that should have been posted at your talk page can be seen at Template:Uw-tdel1, and for more information about removing maintenance templates please see Help:Maintenance template removal. Hope this helps!
RE: Cut/Copy and Paste Moves
I couldn't use the move option as you did something to the source page. Why didn't you use requested moves instead of abusing your admin powers and deleting a source page so you could move Canadian Tire Financial Services? Me-123567-Me (talk) 19:55, 8 September 2017 (UTC)
- I ask that you please put it back to CTFS and put it on requested moves. Me-123567-Me (talk) 19:55, 8 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Me-123567-Me: I have again reverted your C&P moves which, I remind you, are against Wikipedia policy and repeated attempts to do so can be construed as disruptive editing. To address your message: I don't have (nor have I ever claimed to have) "admin powers", any user with an autoconfirmed account can move pages over a redirect using the move function. The reason why the page cannot be moved back using the Move function is because of a technical restriction in order to prevent "move wars".
- This was a WP:BOLD edit, and a relatively minor one at that, to the company's name. If you wish to move the page back please discuss it at WP:RM as a move from Canadian Tire Bank to Canadian Tire Financial Services... and do not continue to attempt cut-and-paste moves. Kelvin High School Charter of Rights and Responsibilities
Honestly, how did you find this copyvio? I'm very curious. TimothyJosephWood 02:41, 10 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Timothyjosephwood: In the Kelvin High School article the charter was referenced to an old version of the school website (with the link being long dead), so I just fed the link into Wayback Machine to see if there was an archived copy... and lo and behold there was the whole thing, haha! Re: Ingrid Nilsen
Hi, I am Ingrid Nilsen's business partner. She no longer goes by the name or channel "Missglamorazzi" and hasn't for quite a few years, so I removed it from her Wikipedia page. Her YouTube channel URL is youtube.com/ingridnilsen. Can you please reinstate the removal? Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:E000:91C1:5D00:946E:46AD:BA57:F799 (talk) 22:24, 14 September 2017 (UTC)
- Hello and thanks for your message! Since she is notable (as the reference shows) for using that name in the past I have not removed it entirely from the article, but I have relocated the Missglamorazzi name lower in the body of the article as: "Nilsen began a YouTube channel with the name Missglamorazzi on October 23, 2012". Thank you for stating your connection with Nilsen and please also ensure you review policies on conflict of interest if you will be making further improvements to her article. Cheers! - Thank you. The date is also wrong -- it should be 2009 and not 2012, as proven here: https://www.youtube.com/user/missglamorazzi/about — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:E000:91C1:5D00:946E:46AD:BA57:F799 (talk) 22:34, 14 September 2017 (UTC)

Hi, I just added a name of an influencing director in the USG and ALBA circles in Lebanon, being the most active group of new age filmmaking in lebanon. I added a link to the directors websites. Can you please approve adding him to the list? Thank you in advance Peperklipp (talk) 01:33, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Peperklipp: Hi and thanks for your message! The director in question was removed because I could not find evidence he was notable according to Wikipedia's guidelines. Under Wikipedia policy a person or organization added to a list generally should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. RA0808 talkcontribs 17:46, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
Re: Rudy Narayan
Dear RA0808,
I have just edited the wikipedia page of my late father Rudy Narayan using material from his order of service from the funeral written by the Editor of Caribbean Times Arif Ali and the Society of Black Lawyers to more accurately reflect his accomplishments which are all documented. I would be grateful if you could revert my edits which are all verifiable.
With thanks and warm wishes

- @Aazilah: Thanks for your message, Yasmeen! I reverted your edits because they were not in line with policy on neutral point of view and tone (for example stating "He was widely recognised as a phenomenal advocate" and "Rudy Narayan was known for his internationalism, eloquence and distinctive oratorical style" neither of which had a citation) and because it removed content without specifying a valid reason (i.e. 1984 expulsion, issues with Labour candidacy). Additionally, since you state you are his daughter that means you also have a conflict of interest. Editors with a COI are encouraged to not directly edit articles related to said COI (family members, employers, etc) and to voluntarily disclose their COI when discussing the article in question (see WP:DISCLOSE). See the Plain and Simple Conflict of Interest Guide for more information. RA0808 talkcontribs 19:02, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
Harold Rosenwald
RA0808: Greetings. Thank you for your changes to Harold Rosenwald. A quick question, please: where did you find the "1908" date as around the time of his birth? I've got to learn that trick! ;) --Aboudaqn (talk) 17:59, 17 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Aboudaqn: I used his age in his obituary, nothing too complicated haha! It said he died in 1990 at the age of 82 so I just did the subtraction and got 1908... threw a "circa" there to show that it's approximate and could be ±1. RA0808 talkcontribs 18:06, 17 September 2017 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: Samagya Hindi Daily
Hello RA0808. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Samagya Hindi Daily, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: A7 cannot be applied to journals or newspapers. Thank you. SoWhy 15:47, 18 September 2017 (UTC)

Canadian Screen Awards
Actually Tatiana Maslany won for both a TV series (Orphan Black, obvs.) and a film (The Other Half) this year — and it was her acceptance speech for the film award that she got emotional about. Bearcat (talk) 23:56, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Bearcat: Oh dang, sorry and thanks for catching that. Chalk that up to me being a bit overzealous! RA0808 talkcontribs 20:35, 19 September 2017 (UTC)
- No worries, I've added the title of the specific film to the sentence to minimize the possibility of anybody else getting confused. I obviously can't prove this given that I'm not Tatiana Maslany, but my suspicion is that The Other Half made her more emotional because it was less expected — nobody in their right mind ever thought anybody but her was going to win in TV drama, but the film award was far less of a sure thing. Thank you so much for your totally truthful and correct edit to this article on the comrade volunteer.Varnebank (talk) 18:18, 25 September 2017 (UTC)
