Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Dyalog

edit

Thank you for reviewing this article. I am disappointed it was declined - I appreciate the requirements of WP:CORP are significant but had considered that the requirements were met by coverage by the Association for Computing Machinery and British Computer Society - both highly notable associations. For the former, WP:ELINK limited what I could place in the article, but [1] shows the first page of the coverage. For the latter, the 25th anniversary of the Company was marked by a special edition of the magazine of the British APL Association, part of the British Computer Society (the link to this one is in the article).

Could you advise on what kind of thing may tip the balance? Was this a "close call", or is notability so far off it's not worth pursuing?

Many thanks 2001:8B0:181:1:15E0:C55E:9D9B:58F7 (talk) 10:43, 8 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Review of NPEU

Hi! I got a notification that you had reviewed an article I created yesterday (National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit). Thanks! Does this mean I can remove the "unreviewed" template, or is further still necessary? Thanks, either way! Hildabast (talk) 17:44, 15 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! I'm all in favor of letting the bots do the work for us, so that's good to know for the future! Best wishes to you, too! Hildabast (talk) 04:10, 16 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
