Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Adele Chasing.jpg

Thank you for uploading Image:Adele Chasing.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla (talk) 17:22, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Song subtitles

Subtitles in songs are not shown following the title with a colon like movies. Parentheses are used instead. For example, the Doors' song is "Break on Through (To the Other Side)" and not "Break On Through: To the Other Side".—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 02:41, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (File:Yen Town Band Montage Slipcase.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:Yen Town Band Montage Slipcase.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 05:10, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of 70% (Yūgure no Uta)

The article 70% (Yūgure no Uta) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Advertising, minimal notability

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Better source request for File:Chara70musicvid.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Chara70musicvid.jpg. You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 15:45, 28 October 2009 (UTC)

Chara album importance ratings

Feel free to change them to whatever you'd like. I simply wanted to get a banner on them so the albums wikiproject knows about them and someone more knowledgeable can adjust the ratings if needed. Some articles can probably be marked as C-class too. Voxii (talk) 22:35, 4 November 2009 (UTC)

AfD nomination of List of number-one hits (Japan)

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is List of number-one hits (Japan). We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of number-one hits (Japan). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:22, 1 December 2009 (UTC)

Nihongo on Swallowtail Butterfly (Ai no Uta)

Template:Nihongo lists the parameters for the template, and describes their usual use. You appear to be using a subject-specific set of parameters for song titles, which may explain why you've had trouble with unexpected italics. Happy editing, Cnilep (talk) 04:00, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

File source problem with File:CDTV_Presenters.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:CDTV_Presenters.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:36, 17 December 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 21:36, 17 December 2009 (UTC)

File source problem with File:Namie MyLoveVidalmusicvid.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Namie MyLoveVidalmusicvid.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Template weirdness Apparently, you need not close the former template, but the latter one necessitates it, so the rest of the article was "inside" the template. Huh. I'll take a look around, but this is probably a pretty obscure error. Thanks a lot. —Justin (koavf)TCM07:05, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

Move of Love In Motion to Love in Motion (Anika Moa album)

I understand why you moved said page, and accept the move, but in future can you please note the capitalisation? Your moved Love In Motion to Love in Motion (Anika Moa album), but the correct capitalisation is Love In Motion (Anika Moa album) (note the capital 'I'). I have removed the page, so don't worry about that. Thanks, Adabow (talk) 06:14, 12 April 2010 (UTC)

Please look at Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums#Capitalization on prepositions. --Prosperosity (talk) 06:17, 12 April 2010 (UTC)

Kokia articles

  Done

I also took the liberty to assess the other articles you are working on, you have at least 5 B just lacking personnel section and the other things i mentioned in Aigakikoeru: Listen for the Love and Songbird (Kokia album), let me know when you are done with those or if you need some help, the review template can be such a pain.

Anything you need just let me know. Zidane tribal (talk) 16:23, 12 April 2010 (UTC)

Wow, you work fast. Well, we can`t rate article higher than B, you have to go to the GA project. Other than that, the only thing that, according to our project, still could be done is the proper division of performing personnel and technical personnel. More reviews and categories are always welcome in the GA review. Good luck. Zidane tribal (talk) 21:39, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
You are good, very good. I would make them B but i`m afraid without categories and reviews i can only make them C, but at that rhythm you will get them to GA or even FA in no time.Zidane tribal (talk) 01:36, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
Ah, what the hell, they are B. Let me know when you have another article ready for assessment. Zidane tribal (talk) 01:58, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
Well, i added a couple of genre and language ones, but country, more genre ones if possible, DEFAULTSORT template, producer if possible, but don`t worry, usually 5 will do, i`ve seen FA with only 6 or 7 categories. Zidane tribal (talk) 02:24, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
1.- Follow the Nightingale is a single, i`m technically not part of that project but rated a C anyway according to the albums project, reviews are missing to be a B. 2.- Tatta Hitotsu no Omoi is lacking personnel and reviews, i know how hard is to find info o J-pop albums, but without personnel i can`t make it a C. 3.- Coquillage: The Best Collection II ia B, but the personnel section needs a little work, you put down "musicians" but you need to specify which instrument is that the play, consult the "personnel section" section of the project page 4.- Don't Cry Anymore has the usual problem, lacks personnel section. 5.- Miwa (singer) and List of number one Reco-kyō Chart singles 2006-2009 (Japan)..well, not my area of work, but after checking the 3 features list of the project, well, there is a long way ahead of it. I don`t mind to take a look at anything you do, you do very good work, anything else you need, let me know. Zidane tribal (talk) 22:09, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Japan Yearly Top 100

A tag has been placed on Japan Yearly Top 100 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. W-B-X

There is absolutely no reason to move this page. The name of the song is written entirely in the English alphabet with punctuation marks also found within standard English and is written in standard English punctuation. So therefore, WP:MOS-J does not have any real ruling over what the page should be named. It is done for a stylistic reason and it does not need to be moved again, particularly to a title that is most definitely not correct ("W.B.X." is not a substitute for "W-B-X") just because it uses tildes instead of parentheses. Please do not move the page anywhere else, again.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 16:18, 25 April 2010 (UTC)

lecca

That name is generated by the {{lowercase}} template at the beginning of the article. Remove it and the name will change. The MoS does allow this in some cases, so this could be correct. Vegaswikian (talk) 18:06, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

Nihongo

When adding the Japanese title into any song article please add the Kana/Kanji to the Note section of the tracklisting template. MS (Talk|Contributions) 14:33, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

That makes the kanji practically illegible, though. --Prosperosity (talk) 14:34, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
It does but the Kanji doesn't belong in the title section only the romanization. Which is pretty much the most important thing since we hardly use the Kanji in the articles. MS (Talk|Contributions) 14:36, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

Please start adding the Kanji under the notes field. The template page tells you to do so. MS (Talk|Contributions) 11:28, 24 May 2010 (UTC)

No, I'm not going to start doing it (even though I hate to use WP:IAR). I don't see the value it adds to the page at all, to the point where I find it detrimental to the quality of the articles. --Prosperosity (talk) 11:45, 24 May 2010 (UTC)

Shion Tsuji

Thanks for fixing my edit to Shion Tsuji. I'm not sure how that happened, it was not my intention to delete an infobox. Somehow I must have followed a link to an old version and been editing that. Cheers Fæ (talk) 07:41, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

Don't Cry Anymore

If you think it should be a b-class article then please feel free to amend my assessment. It is only one person's view. You will know the Japanese music scene better than me, are some of those redlinks merely because of alternative spellings? BTW, you can assess the songs yourself. Cheers. --Richhoncho (talk) 12:35, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

Jibun Rock

Hello, what does a "rental only" single mean...? Sorafune +1 04:24, 31 May 2010 (UTC)

In Japan since the 1980s, they've had CD rental stores where you can go and rent stuff and return it a bit later (like with DVDs). For some reason, One Ok Rock released Jibun Rock only as a CD you could rent, and only at Tsutaya. --Prosperosity (talk) 04:30, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
Do you have a source for that? I think it would need a source for it to stay on the article. Sorafune +1 04:42, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
Ok, thanks, it looks great. Sorafune +1 04:50, 31 May 2010 (UTC)

Your contributed article, Cocco discography

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Cocco discography. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Cocco. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Cocco - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Becky Sayles (talk) 14:32, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
