Image sources
editI've noticed people objecting to some of your recent images, so I've been trying to figure out where they came from:
- You list the source of Image:Identified_japan.jpg as being "Shopping Recond". I can't find a "Shopping Recond" anywhere, and the image doesn't match anyone else's version of the Japanese cover of "Identified".
- Image:COME_BACK_TO_ME_CD.jpg is found on a page labeled "Início > Propagandas // Advertisements > Singles > Come Back To Me". It's the wrong shape for a CD cover, and doesn't look like any other sites copy of the CD cover. Since it is labeled a "Propagandas", isn't doesn't that mean that this is an advertising image, not a cover?
- Image:Headstrong_ashley_tisdale's_second_single_cover.PNG doesn't have a good source (it just says "Warner Brothers Records", and it looks different from any of the other images of Headstrong's cover. Where did this come from?
You have image copyrights?
editOn the description of Image:Headstrong ashley tisdale's second single cover.PNG, you made the comment "The cover art copyright is believed to belong to User:Pedrovip."
Can you please explain your connection to Tisdale's record label that would allow you to hold copyright over the image? —C.Fred (talk) 01:17, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
DON'T BLAME ME FOR A THING THAT I DIDN'T DO! I ONLY WRITE "WARNER BROS. RECORDS"! Please don't blame me!
- You wrote "The cover art copyright is believed to belong to User:Pedrovip." when you created it. Maybe it was a mistake, but you wrote it. Could you please look at my questions above, and answer them?—Kww(talk) 12:24, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
Copyrighted images in userboxes
editYou have copyrighted images in your userboxes for Sneakernight and Come Back to Me. Your userbox for Say OK is alright, because that is a free image. You need to find new images for those userboxes. I'll come back in a few hours and edit the userboxes if you haven't repaired them by then.
You really, really need to answer my questions above about the source of your images. If you don't, they will all go up for deletion.—Kww(talk) 16:11, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
- I didn't say you had uploaded those images in the user boxes. They are here under our policy of WP:FU, which is very limited. A cover of an album or single is only permitted to be used in the article about the album or single.
- As for your other images: how can you claim that Image:Cisco Adler.jpg isn't copyrighted? You show a source of "Google Images", which seems to mean that you downloaded from an image source, but then claim that it is self-made. How did you make it?
- The three I listed at the top of this page were all downloaded by you. Why won't you tell me where they came from?
- You really need to read WP:IUP, WP:FU and WP:NFCC. It appears that every image you have downloaded is improperly licensed, and, in a few cases, appear to be of hoax covers. If you continue to violate our policies and guidelines this way, you are going to wind up being blocked.—Kww(talk) 16:29, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
Please, don't block me. I am just trying to upload. Pedrovip (talk) 16:32, 8 October 2008 (UTC)Pedrovip
- That ":" in the image name was there for a reason ... it keeps the image from appearing. I'm actually trying to avoid you being blocked, and honesty is a good step towards showing good faith and keeping you from getting blocked. Please answer the questions.
- Where did the three images I talked about at the top of the page come from?
- Where did Image:Cisco Adler.jpg come from?
- Why do you claim that you made [[:Image:Cisco Adler.jpg]
- Why did you claim that you own the copyright to Image:Headstrong_ashley_tisdale's_second_single_cover.PNG?
—Kww(talk) 16:40, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
- I've answered one of your questions. The Cisco Adler image was located at tv.yahoo.com [1] and credited to "Polk Imaging/WireImage". Unless you are the photographer who took that image, you cannot assert the image, or any modification you made of it, is self-created. Wire services almost always keep their images under copyright; there is no evidence of an exception at the Yahoo page. Accordingly, I have deleted the image as a blatant copyright violation. —C.Fred (talk) 16:43, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
Empty category
editFYI, a category you created, Category:Wikipedians who like Vanessa Hudgens's musics, is empty. If it is still empty in four days, it is subject to speedy deletion. —C.Fred (talk) 16:35, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

edit- Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Treehouse of Horror XIX. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. And by the way, your idea really sucks. -- Scorpion0422 20:37, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
Edits to image files
editWhy did you edit the source information in Image:Identified japan.jpg? Especially to a site that you state no longer has the image? The apparently fake cover art that you downloaded is still at the other source.—Kww(talk) 11:59, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Unsourced information warning
editPlease do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Template:Vanessa Hudgens. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, your edits will be considered vandalism and you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. —Kww(talk) 14:31, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
I'm going to add to that warning a little explanation: we really don't ask that much of editors. The basis rules for getting along here are very simple:
- Don't make stuff up.
- Don't post stuff from fan-sites.
- Don't post stuff from blogs.
- Don't post stuff from YouTube.
- Don't post stuff from MySpace.
- Don't steal images from other people and claim that they are yours.
- Always have a source that complies with WP:RS for everything you add.
If you can't manage to follow those rules, you are going to wind up banned from the site. It will start with short blocks, but if you can't learn those rules, those blocks will become blocks that last forever.—Kww(talk) 14:46, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Just Getting Started (song)
editA tag has been placed on Just Getting Started (song) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Waterden (talk) 15:46, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
- I undid the speedy nomination, because technically this thing doesn't qualify. That doesn't mean that the article is any good, or that you should have created it. You are already at level 3 warning stage about unsourced information. I've talked with you about creating unsourced articles, and adding unsourced information to existing articles. Yet, here you are again, having created a completely unsourced article. Time is running out for both you and your article. As for your article, add sources within the next 48 hours, or I'll nominate it for deletion via AFD. As for you, you've earned this: This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you disrupt Wikipedia, you will be blocked from editing. —Kww(talk) 16:00, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
Yet another warning for your talk page
editThis may have just been a mistake, so I won't take action based on your final warning above. Take a look at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sneakernight. Notice how it says, right at the top, The following discussion is an archived debate of the proposed deletion of the article below. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page (such as the article's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this page. Is there some part of No further edits should be made to this page that you didn't understand? I'll make it simpler, and leave out the "please" part: Do not make edits to closed deletion discussions.—Kww(talk) 18:21, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Editprotected
editYou recently posted {{pp-dispute}} and {{editprotected}} here; however, both of those templates are generally used only on protected pages, or their talk pages, respectively. If there's a particular protected page you think needs editing, please feel very free to post another editprotected request at the protected page's talk page; if you have any further questions about the process, I'll answer as long as I'm around, or you can try the {{helpme}} tag. – Luna Santin (talk) 08:57, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
Why does everybody hate me?
editI don't think everyone hates you. I get frustrated with you, but I think you are trying to be a good editor.
The templates were a problem because those templates actually do things. They don't just put words on your talk page. When you put {{helpme}} onto a page, it places you into a special category of Wikipedia editors that need help. It also sends out an IM message to Wikipedia admins that you need help. People scan that category and monitor that channel, and come to look for the problem. When there isn't a problem, it's all been a waste of time. Same thing with {{editprotected}} : that puts the page its on in a special category of pages that need an admin to look at them, evaluate the request for a protected edit, and decide whether to make the change to a protected page. If you just put that on your talk page, it wastes people's time.—Kww(talk) 20:21, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- If you think a page should be protected, you need to go to WP:RFPP and fill out a request. Usually, a page will only be protected if there is a lot of vandalism. If you think an editor needs to be blocked because he is vandalizing pages, you would request that at WP:AIV. Both pages have a lot of rules. If you don't understand them after you read them, just ask.—Kww(talk) 15:57, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
Block lengths
editUsually, the first block is for 24 hours. They get longer and longer as you keep doing things to get blocked for. I've seen people blocked forever on their second block.—Kww(talk) 21:17, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

Message to Kww
editHey, Kww. I wanna ask you if (e.g. example: I am banned, and i was to blocked. Banned is pretty the same thing as Blocked? Pedrovip (talk) 12:17, 2 November 2008 (UTC)Pedrovip
- Banning is more formal than blocking. Any administrator can block problem users within the guidelines; the blocks are reviewable. Banning is either the result of an office action or community discussion. In either case, that effectively terminates that user's participation on Wikipedia. Any time banned users are demonstrated to return, all of their edits are reverted as a matter of policy. —C.Fred (talk) 13:30, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
- C. Fred has it right. Why are you so interested in these things? Are you having trouble on an alternate account?—Kww(talk) 14:48, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
Sorry, if i someday will be a admin, i wanna explain to the newcomers. Like Wikipedia's rules, there are place for Don't bite the Newcomers! Pedrovip (talk) 14:51, 2 November 2008 (UTC)Pedrovip
- No problem. You really should focus on just being the best editor you can be. The more you edit, and the more different problems you have to deal with, the more you will learn about how things work. Being an admin isn't such a big deal ... I'm not one.—Kww(talk) 15:13, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
Hey, you given me the best idea in Wikipedia. Thanks for all your help. Pedrovip (talk) 15:46, 2 November 2008 (UTC)Pedrovip
- Also, even for normal editors fighting vandalism, it's useful to know the difference. Occasionally they have to remind the vandals that continued vandalism will get their account blocked. —C.Fred (talk) 16:38, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

- OK, take a chill, if your stressed come back later :-) But please, you must stop adding unsourced information to Wikipedia. — Realist2 18:59, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

Image source problem with Image:Disney Channel logo.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Disney Channel logo.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:31, 15 November 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. AussieLegend (talk) 16:31, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Magalhães (computer)
editA tag has been placed on Magalhães (computer), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. editI don't think you understood... To get my Barnstar, you have to go to my secret page's talk page and tell me what link you clicked on to get there (like I click on your signature to get to your page). If you didn't click a link, sorry, but no Star! TopGearFreak 17:12, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

editI'm not an admin, so I can't delete things either. Just edit the page, and replace the contents with {{db-author}}. That tells admins that you want your page deleted. Should take a few hours. If that doesn't work (it might not for a .css page, I've never used those), then post a request on WP:ANI.—Kww(talk) 11:51, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for Image:Circus by Britney Spears - Alternate cover.jpg
editThank you for uploading Image:Circus by Britney Spears - Alternate cover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Realist2 19:24, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:High School Musical current logo.JPG)
editThanks for uploading Image:High School Musical current logo.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:24, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:High School Musical Fan Warning - Can be used anywhere!.png
editThank you for uploading Image:High School Musical Fan Warning - Can be used anywhere!.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. J Milburn (talk) 19:10, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

WikiCup notice
editThe 2009 WikiCup will begin on January 1, 2009. The first round will run through March 31, 2009. For more information on this tournament, read the "about" section on the main WikiCup page.
This year, we have a different system in calculating points. At User:Garden/WikiCup/Submissions, you will find information about submitting your article (and other) work to earn points. Each contestant will have their own individual subpage for submitting completed work to us.
This year, User:ST47 will also be running one of his bots to calculate mainspace edits and read your submission subpages to calculate the point values you receive based on our scoring chart.
Questions or comment? Ask at the talk page or go directly to Garden or IMatthew's talk page. Good luck and Happy Holidays! -- ayematthew ✡ and Garden. 14:10, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

editHi, Roger!I think you should remove that fake new message bar or change it into something different. Simulating the MediaWiki interface is not generally accepted (see here).
