Your edits on Ram Sewak Sharma
editHello, Pr1311. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Ram Sewak Sharma, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.
Please go through WP:MOSLEAD in order to understand how to write the opening paragraph of an article. The purpose of the lead is to contain a short summary of the rest of the article, and not to repeat the main contents of the article, which is what your edits have been doing. Please also look at MOS:CITELEAD to understand how to include citations in the lead paragraph, and when citations should not be repeated. Thanks. - Naushervan (talk) 05:06, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Naushervan,
- I reviewed the changes that I had made and I don't see any revision. Please help me understand so that I can improve the article..
- The changes that I had made to the page Ram Sewak Sharma were intended to add complete information and I would like to dispute that anything was repeated. The facts including his present day role at the National Health Authority was further updated with the link of the official notification in references [1]. The missing information in the page which is "he also serves as Chairperson of the Empowered Group on Vaccine Administration for COVID-19" was added with credible source (official government notification). Further, without changing any factual details I added added the time period he served at the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India with credible resources again. I had also mentioned the two schemes under NHA PM-JAY and ABDM and provided internal links for the same. Please explain the repetition and the reason for not including the imissing information that was backed with an official government notification. Thank you. Pr1311 (talk) 06:54, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
- please ignore the typo- Its repetition* not revision. thanks Pr1311 (talk) 07:19, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
- Firstly, you should be having this conversation on the talk page for Ram Sewak Sharma and not your personal talk page here.
- Secondly, please do disclose if you have any conflicts of interest regarding the subject matter.
- Thirdly, the information is inaccurate. He was the Chairperson of the Empowered Group on Technology and Data Management to combat COVID-19, which is a sub-committee of the Empowered Group on Vaccine Administration for COVID-19. The Chairperson of the Empowered Group on Vaccine Administration was Dr. VK Paul, a member of the Niti Aayog. Please see this and this - both official government notifications. It is extremely important to be specific and correct, and to refrain from spreading misinformation on Wikipedia.
- Fourthly, the fact that he was part of the committee is mentioned in the NHA section with sources. For your satisfaction, I have updated that to specifically mention some more details. You don't need to repeat full content from the body in the lead, which is meant to be a summary. Please do read on how to write a lead - I've added all the relevant information above.

- My intention is to add factual and missing information to improve the article.
- The information you have underlined above is not accurate. The Empowered Group on Vaccine Administration for COVID-19 (EGVAC ) is a separate committee which was formed on 8th January 2021 and the National Expert Group on Vaccine Administration for COVID-19 (NEGVAC) is separate and met on 12th August, 2020.
- Why we need to mention Dr Sharma is the Chairperson of the EGVAC in the lead is because this was a separate role and not something related to NHA.
- Infact, the date of his appointment as CEO NHA is incorrect. He was appointed the CEO of NHA on 1st February, 2021. Pr1311 (talk) 12:13, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
- please ignore the typo- Its repetition* not revision. thanks Pr1311 (talk) 07:19, 27 July 2022 (UTC)

editHello Pr1311. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Pr1311. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Pr1311|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 08:26, 22 August 2022 (UTC)
- I am a novice at Wikipedia. I work for NHA and wanted to improve the accuracy and quality of the article, as I saw fit. I realise that any NHA related article probably should go through the submission route and I am happy to comply with this requirement. Thank you for the help. Pr1311 (talk) 09:00, 22 August 2022 (UTC)
The above includes any employment related to the subject of your edits, even if you are not specifically paid to edit or specifically asked to edit. 331dot (talk) 08:27, 22 August 2022 (UTC)
