Willam Peyton Cobb

edit

I noticed you created the Willam Peyton Cobb article. Just thought you should know that you spelled his first name wrong in every instance of writing it. It's 'William' as shown on the Alabama archives page you cited, not 'Willam'. PotentPotables (talk) 01:15, 11 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for noticing, I'm surprised I did not notice the error. I actually clicked the link to create the page from the office holder list on Secretary of State of Alabama which I did not create. I will try to change the title. --Political Geek (talk)

Sources

edit

Hello, thanks for creating articles. All articles on living people need to have WP:INLINECITED sources, or they risk deletion. Can you please add them to your articles on politicians? Thanks again for creating new articles, Boleyn (talk) 19:02, 16 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for letting me know, but some of the articles I have created have the template message for living people. Some include Jabez J. Parker, Patrick Ragland and Neander H. Rice. These people are deceased, but I do not know the date of their death. How do I remove the message? --Political Geek (talk)

Just change {{BLP sources}} to {{Refimprove}}. That should do the trick. But considering the articles you are writing are so short and one or two references may be enough, the templates may not be necessary anyway. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 02:33, 19 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Marie Newman (politician)

edit

Hello Political Geek,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Marie Newman (politician) for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.
