Hello, I'm Hwy43. I noticed that you made a change to an article, List of local service districts in New Brunswick, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.   Appreciate your attention to the referencing there. We need to improve it. I think it's useful information, NTL. I am glad the table is not disappeared and can be retrieved in the article history. May be I will save it for personal use. Placeographer77 (talk)

Local Service Districts in New Brunswick

Hi Placeographer77

I've been busy and didn't see you message until now.

I took a brief glance at your edits to the page and, off the top of my head, I disagree with removing the table detailing how many LSDs there are and have been by county. It's a useful (I like to think) summary of information that would be about as deep as most people's interest might go. I'll have to do a more detailed examination when I have access to a laptop again. I know I'll be editing some of your wording changes, but that happens with anything I update. I think I have a better understanding of the subject of New Brunswick local governance changes than anyone I've seen, including the e-mail handlers the Department of Environment and Local Government, who seem able only to parrot press releases in a way that shows no comprehension of more esoteric questions. Very frustrating, that.

I agree that the article could be more readable, but like most things on Wikipedia it's a kludge. It's on my to-do list somewhere below updating the List of Local Service Districts page to include references for all the information and improve the layout of the tables. It seems every time I start to edit it I find something that could be improved; the latest thing is improving the descriptions of changes in boundaries and annexations by municipalities. Taking that into account, I'm currently up to 1968 in the latest revision, but it would look worse to publish an incomplete revision that it would to leave the current one in place.

Anyway, it's nice to know there are at least three people in the world who care about the subject.

BTW, were there really 76 other people already using Placeographer?
