Speedy deletion contested: Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace Neo

edit

Hello Pianoman320. I am just letting you know that I contested the speedy deletion of Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace Neo, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not unambiguous advertising. Thank you. Steven Crossin 02:13, 26 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Steven Crossin: Sure, no problem. It just seemed like advertising to me because it contained only specs and had no citations. I see you've improved it a bit though. You might want to note that the page creator and sole editor (at the time I flagged it) was User:Samsung Official, who has been indefinitely blocked for obvious WP:COI reasons. Speedy deletion contested: Jeff Anderson (tuba player)

edit

Added the external reference to Jeff in the SFS. Is that adequate? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jimcander (talkcontribs) 17:54, 26 July 2016 (UTC) I'm trying to find other citations. RPO doesn't have a list of past musicians. I'll keep digging. I'm his brother and I know this all true but in the world of the WorldWideInterWeb that doesn't mean squat!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jimcander (talkcontribs) 18:12, 26 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Jimcander: Thanks for adding that. Yes that qualifies, I've removed the proposed BLP deletion tag. The article could use a few more references, however, as the one citation doesn't cover many of the facts stated in the article. Please read WP:BLP and WP:CITE for more guidance on what (and how) to cite. You can always ask more questions here as well. Pianoman320 (talk) 18:07, 26 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Jimcander: FYI, to reply to a comment, place your comment beneath the other one and prepend it with one or more colons (one more colon than the comment you're replying to). For example:
Someone else writes something up here first. (ending with their signature)
: Then you write your reply here, starting with one colon. ~~~~
:: Then someone else might reply to you, starting with two colons. ~~~~
Also, don't forget to sign your posts by ending with four tildes (~~~~). Pianoman320 (talk) 20:43, 26 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

I just responded to your comment on deleting the 2017 in heavy metal music article and explained why it should be kept. MetalDiablo666 (talk) 03:56, 27 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

@MetalDiablo666: Thanks! My thinking was that it's only halfway through 2016, and not that much has been formally announced for 2017 yet (many of the potential albums cited are only speculative, which violates WP:CRYSTAL). I was also swayed by the previous dispute over the timeliness of the article in February. However, I see pretty good arguments for keeping it on the deletion discussion, so I'm not opposed anymore. I don't think I'm allowed to vote on my own deletion nomination, though. Pianoman320 (talk) 04:55, 27 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

I wanted to post a message relative to your recommendation my article be deleted. I believe it should not be speedily deleted because I am still working on the article, and I was only away for a few minutes before I came back to continue working. I had clicked the "save" button on accident, and I request you allow me to continue working on my article. If you decide after it is finished it is still not a worth article, you can tag it again. Thanks for your understanding.

@Amkirby10: thanks for checking in. See the note I left on Talk:List of United States Presidential Candidates by Number of Primary Votes. Don't worry about accidentally hitting "save"; the article being tagged for deletion doesn't mean that it shouldn't exist, or that it can't be recreated in the future. If you want to add content now go ahead, you can edit while leaving the tag there (but you're not allowed to remove the tag). I can remove the tag once you do. If you're not ready to add content to the article yet, I might suggest using the new article wizard, or create a draft on your user page, and then moving that into a real article. Speedy deletion contested for Crescent Wealth

edit

This message is in relation to my page Crescent Wealth being tagged for speedy deletion. The website from where the content is copied is Crescent Wealth's own website and hence I believe any content used shall not cause any copyright violation. I have also edited content that may make it look like an advertisement. So please review again and remove the tag if you feel my contest is correct. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Info901 (talkcontribs) 04:46, 29 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi. We appeciate your enthusiasm but although your account was registered a while ago, your actual experience and editing history reveals that you are not ready to be doing complex maintenance tasks such as New Page Patrol. Please consider helping to combat vandalism instead until you have significantly more experience and read and understood all the instructions for NPP, deletions, and Page Curation. Re-release vs Miniature Replica

edit

Hey, instead of reverting maybe you should bring it up on the WikiProject Video games talk page I'm sure others would like to give their opinion on this. We need lots of others to be involved in making the article great.--73.203.218.13 (talk) 18:40, 9 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hey @73.203.218.13:, thanks for the message. Unfortunately, the source that you added clearly contradicts your statement that the device is not miniature. The exact quote is "The new system will also be a miniature size, able to fit on the palm of a hand". That seems pretty clear-cut to me, and all of the other sources in the article appear to back up that statement. There's nothing wrong with mentioning that it's a re-release, but the fact that it's miniature is just as (or more) relevant to the article. Pianoman320 (talk) 19:53, 9 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
I'm taking this to the talk page. Go there and discuss it instead of making personal attacks against me.--73.203.218.13 (talk) 20:12, 9 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
