Speedy deletion nomination of Matthew Kramer
editA tag has been placed on Matthew Kramer requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. - Hi. I have declined the speedy deletion nomination on this article, as Prof. Kramer clearly meets our notability requirements; but before writing more articles, please read WP:Your first article, particularly on the need to cite references for verifiability. This is particularly important for biographies of living persons, which are liable to be deleted if after ten days they have not been supplied with references. Philosophy of law
editGreetings,
At some point in the near future, I think the philosophy department is going to start a jurisprudence task force similar to the other task forces. I invite your help. Be well, Greg Bard 20:03, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of David Lyons (legal philosopher), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.bu.edu/philo/faculty/lyons.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 18:07, 13 July 2010 (UTC)

editI noticed at the bottom of the article, that you left what looks like a template. Is that meant to be a template or reference?. --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 20:05, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- In addition, this was a direct copy of the (linked) British Academy bio. Please note that WP has strict policies concerning copyright violations and the article could easily have been speedily deleted. I have re-written it to remove the copyvio, but please be more careful in the future. You would do well to read the links in the welcome message at the top of this page. Hope this helps. Happy editing! --Crusio (talk) 12:25, 13 August 2010 (UTC)
The article David Lyons (legal philosopher) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Fails WP:BIO and WP:PROF, no supported assertion of notability, reference is from his own bio page.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ravenswing 02:51, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
