WikiProject Figure Skating

edit

Hello Pelladon! I noticed that you have edited figure skating-related articles. I have created WikiProject Figure Skating, with the goal of improving Wikipedia's coverage of figure skating articles. We could use your help! Please consider joining. Thanks! --Fang Aili talk 18:57, 25 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

You don't have to join, of course, but would you mind commenting on something? WP:Figure Skating is trying to decide if individual pair skater articles should be merged into one article, for instance Pang Qian and Tong Jian instead of Pang Qing and Tong Jian (while keeping the individuals as redirects). Do you have an opinion? Should pair skaters who are otherwise non-notable have their own articles, or should they be combined with his/her partner? See our conversation here. Your comments would be greatly appreciated. --Fang Aili talk 19:54, 31 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hello Pelladon. I would greatly appreciate your opinion here. Bascially, Dr.frog thinks we need to use the word "ladies" to refer to women, and I disagree. Thank you in advance, whichever way you "vote". Cheers. --Fang Aili talk 13:21, 12 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

I responded to your comment. --Fang Aili talk 13:28, 13 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi Pelladon. Please will you have a look at the change I'm suggestion to make to Template:Infobox_Figure_skater on the talk page. I see you have been involved with the template - and so you may be aware of a reason why the changes I want to may not be a good idea. --Gary van der Merwe 19:18, 25 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

While I appreciate that this image is not GDFL, the deletion page says, "If you are deleting an image, also check the file links; it is your responsibility to do image deletions cleanly and not leave broken links and red boxes in articles." As this image was used in a great many articles and you could not have been unaware of its heavy use by WikiProject Figure Skating. Just please keep the deletion page message in mind in the future. Thanks. --Fang Aili talk 13:37, 1 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Actually that whole comment might have been out of line on my part. I saw your comment on the image page and missed the old date (April), and I cannot figure out who recently deleted the image. Curiously, it does not appear in the delete log. Anyways, cheers. --Fang Aili talk 13:49, 1 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Uh duh..You're not an admin. *smacks forhead* Sorry. Just ignore me. ;) --Fang Aili talk 13:52, 1 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hello Pelladon. I just wanted to apologize again for totally jumping the gun yesterday. In case you were wondering about what happened to the image, it was on Commons and deleted there [1], which explains why I couldn't find any log of its deletion here. Cheers. --Fang Aili talk 14:49, 2 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Are you talking about that skate pic? Unfortunately, it was a image from the Microsoft Clip Art and needed to be deleted. I just made that comment because MS could have easily forced their hand on this. It was a necessary deletion (I didn't delete it of course). To clarify, if you own a Microsoft Office product, you can use that clip art both in your personal and professional work. —Pelladon 15:53, 2 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Atari BASIC

edit

Excellent edits! And now a question: do you have a working emulator who's performance you consider to be accurate? I would like to try a small benchmarking exercise, but I have to admit I'm so lazy that I started the project and never finished it. If you're still conversant in Atari BASIC I'll wager the whole thing could be done in about an hour. Any interest? (you can reply here, I'll see it) Maury 16:00, 14 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

How to joust in Atari ST version?

I keep losing. I try to hit the middle of the shield but nothing happens. I try to hit him in the face and nothing happens. By the way, I have to say, I can upload some images of the joust also. I will try soon. Perhaps the article should be added the way to play the joust. As it is so difficult. ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
