Carnival

edit

Hi thanks! Category:Carnivals by country - there are many. If you are interested and want to keep adding more (hope), I've created a new section in Module:Calendar date/Events for the Carnivals since there so many possible around the world. I usually name them the same as the article name to keep it simple to remember but however your choice. -- GreenC 15:38, 7 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of BHTec

edit

The article BHTec has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (companies) requirement. WP:BEFORE did not reveal any significant English-language coverage on Gnews, Gbooks or Gscholar. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page here in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back through WP:ECHO or by leaving a note at User talk:Piotrus. Thank you.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks!

edit

Hello,

Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.

I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!

From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.

If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.

Thank you!

Wikimania 2019 Interview on Templates - Follow up

edit

Hi pcgomes,

I am a UX designer on the Wikimedia Deutschland Technical Wishes team, currently working on prototypes in the chosen topic of templates.

Even though I wasn't involved at the time - thank you for taking the time to be interviewed at Wikimania. The research results from the interviews conducted have really shaped our approach and focus areas for the prototypes.

In the notes, it shows that you were open to being contacted again. I hope it's alright to contact you here. If you have the time, I would love to have a follow-up conversation with you about your workflows. Now that our focus is more specific, we have some more detailed questions and it would be great to hear your thoughts.

Let me know! Elisha Cohen (WMDE) (talk) 14:34, 8 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Elisha Cohen (WMDE): sure, we can have a follow up conversation anyday now. Let me know when and how. Cheers. Pcgomes (talk) 08:35, 11 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Pcgomes: Great! Maybe the easiest way is to figure out a time by email. You can contact me at elisha.cohen [at] wikimedia.de - let me know your time zone and if you have any preferred times later this week. Thanks so much and I'm looking forward to speaking. Deletion discussion about Idolatrada

edit

Hello Pcgomes, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Idolatrada, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Idolatrada.

Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|SafariScribe}}. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!
