Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy for the following reason: it ends in "admin", which is often confused with the Wikipedia administrators and might imply a position of power. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?

I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.

You have several options freely available to you:

Thank you. -- lucasbfr talk 14:08, 25 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

hehe, well admins are trusted members of the community, and it takes quite some time (and some very good knowledge of our (insane) internal processes) ;). I'm not even sure the name would be okay if you were an admin though. You can change your username either by creating a new account, or by asking at the Changing Username page. Cheers! If you can't figure out how that page works, just tell me the username you wish to use and I'll do the paperwork for you :). -- lucasbfr talk 18:45, 15 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
