Unreliable sources?

http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Douglass_Burns_Clarke - Hi OohBunnies! Our entry for Douglass Burns Clarke was refused because of unreliable sources. As we are the Records Management and Archives of Concordia University, everything that goes up on our Website is verified and as all the references are from our site, they can be trusted. Concordia University is one of the major universities in the Province of Quebec and in Canada. The three archivists part of the Historical Archives’ team total almost 75 years of experience. If sources from an Archives can’t be trusted, we don’t know what can! What are your thoughts? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rmaa.concordia (talkcontribs) 14:17, 4 December 2012 (UTC)

Woodforce

http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Woodforce Hi OohBunnies, I really need somebodies help on this article, I have read all guidelines within Wikipedia, this is the first article I have ever tried to upload. I am trying to write this article from a non bias way and bring in no advertising references or slant as best I can, I am now uncertain what more I can do. This is a product that has been invented by an government agency tasked with finding environmental solutions to an issue that concerns us all. it has been checked and approved by a number of other government agencies as well as patent authorities, USDA being the latest example of full approval of this product and because of this it has to be given a commercial name, I have tried to follow an example http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Gorilla_Glass as best I can without the financial backing of Corning, how can Gorilla glass not be classed as an advertisement yet Woodforce is. I am asking for your help as this really is a material that can change the future. Do we need more additions from Scion, however they will all cite back to their website, we have lots of independent research but again will either be on Scion or Woodforce Websites. Once this is public more references can then be added to it, again I point back to the Gorilla Glass entry. Cchambonnet (talk) 09:08, 4 December 2012 (UTC)

Rejected article

Hi OohBunnies! I am a newby to wikipedia but am trying to update wikipedia's performance art entries with current artists and new movements, for some reason we are missing a lot of developments beyond about 1998. This is my first page, written about Anya Liftig, a well-known artist. Any advice you can give me about how to effectively discuss art work without it sounding promotional would be helpful, a lot of the articles I'd like to cite are complimentary,.,I am carefully only including artists who are considered relevant and have reached a certain level of recognition...I have also noted levels for sports players and musicians, which is a considerably lower "bar" than that used to judge artists, I hope to encourage critical arts writers especially in visual arts performance to get involved with wikipedia and help out a lot of students and make art more widely accessible in daily life...thank you, all the best,(Esthermneff (talk) 00:50, 10 December 2012 (UTC))

Hi OohBunnies! Many thanks for looking at my article - I'm just not sure how to proceed now. The reason for rejection was copyright infringement, but everything I wrote was factual and I'm not sure how else to say what I need to say. It was not copied from the Spinal Research website but was based around the information found there. Do you have any thoughts on how I can move forward? Thanks Jodie JLWallin (talk) 10:16, 4 December 2012 (UTC)

Citations

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Posen Foundation - Hi OohBunnies! I'm not sure how I can improve this page with more reliable sources since I've already added references. Can you give me any more guidance with this. The reality of the situation is that most of the references I mentioned are connected to our foundation which does not necessarily make them any less credible. Thanks for your time working on our page! Heather Chait (talk) 15:46, 4 December 2012 (UTC)

Thanks so much for responding so promptly! I've made a few minor changes and I'm wondering if these will suffice or do I need to add additional sources. Not entirely clear when the critical mass will be reached to make the article 'noteworthy.' — Preceding unsigned comment added by Heather Chait (talkcontribs) 15:31, 5 December 2012 (UTC)

Not censored reply

Regarding your comment on your user page: If you really do find you would like to reply with that quote often, you know you can always make a sub-page (such as User talk:OohBunnies!/nc, copy in the quote and attribution, and then whenever you want to say that, you can simply subst by typing {{subst:User talk:OohBunnies!/nc}}. Of course, it might be more useful (and less likely to annoy people with long repetitive posts) if you make an essay based on the quote, modeled after WP:TIGER. Then others could reference it also. KillerChihuahua?!? 13:38, 6 December 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for the suggestions, although when I said, "If I could make that an auto-response to every person that complains about images of nudity or articles on pornography, I would." it was probably more hyperbole than anything else. Mostly because I don't often find myself on the talk pages of articles with "explicit" content. (Not that there's any reason for that. I mean, I'm not offended by them or anything, it's just the way it is. ...Why am I still talking? *hops away*) OohBunnies! (talk) 13:53, 6 December 2012 (UTC)
Nods, I thought you might be using hyperbole, but wasn't certain, hence my "IF you.. find" etc. KillerChihuahua?!? 14:17, 6 December 2012 (UTC)

Woodforce

http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Woodforce Hi OohBunnies, would it be possible to have a look over this page, I have found a couple of independent documents supporting this technology and have changed all copy to reflect your suggestions of impartiality and have included one independent press review for support. If you could advise before I put forward again for review it would be really appreciated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cchambonnet (talkcontribs) 19:55, 6 December 2012 (UTC)

Apology for embarassing you

Hello. Please read this msg b4 del it in case u do decide to. Im Sid alias MegaCyanide666, ThePariahOne, Mr Sylvester Cross and many other names that I have forgotten. This time I haven't created an account for spamming but to apologise for my irrational behaviour. You of course know I didn't have any issues but was just spamming you. I'm sorry I've insulted you or embarresed you in front of people. I'm not trying to offend you here but I spammed you because I thought you're just a women and you're weak and you can do nothing to me. But now I know my behaviour was totally out of limits even for a spammer and my attitude towards women was totally unforgivable. I've insulted and embarrased you in front of everyone. Hope I'm forgiven although I don't think that's going to be. I've realised my fault. I'm not asking you to unblock me, I don't deserve it anyway but just forgive me if you can. I'm truly sorry. I was out of my limits. Please forgive me. I promise I won't spam or use a sock again to spam anyone again and I'll try not to disrespect anyone again. Thank you and sorry again. your help please

Hi OohBunnies!

My novel 'Monster: a novel of Frankenstein' was released last Fall and received a good amount of critical acclaim, including a starred review from Booklist Magazine, being made a pick of the week from ForeWord Magazine, a rave reviews from the Los Angeles Times and other papers. It was also picked recently by Booklist for their 2013 top 10 horror novel list and by WBUR (NPR Boston) as one of their favorite books of 2012.

I tried adding the following entry in the novels section for the 'Frankenstein in popular culture' page

  • 2012: Dave Zeltserman's Monster: a novel of Frankenstein was selected by Booklist for their 2013 list of top 10 horror novels[1] and WBUR for their favorite novels of 2012[2], and is a thematically rich gothic retelling of the original story in which everything a dying Victor Frankenstein tells Captain Walton is a lie and the monster now tells the true story. ISBN 978-1-5902-0860-1

And Mr.Ollie without explanation removed it. If I had added blurbs from any of the newspaper reviews, I could see this entry inappropriate and promotional, but seeing how I stuck to the facts, that the references provided are valid, and from the critical responses that the book has received, I believe this entry is very valid--and as much so as any of the other novel entries. Could you please help me get this entry accepted?

Thanks, DaveZeltserman (talk) 18:38, 25 August 2013 (UTC)DaveZeltserman

Hi There!

I just wanted to say, I remember you, and I appreciate you for the way you jumped into a disagreement I was stuck in, on my User Talk page, sometime about one year ago, and you helped me find my way to a peaceful resolution. And you gave me my first (and thus-far only) Barnstar! (Fortunately, I don't care very much about acquiring Barnstars. But when you have just the one, it's very special!) You really did help out without taking my "side" of the argument, and I'm glad you did. SO . . . I hope you're doing great! Best of wishes to you!
