Math help
editHey Onar. Can you do your magic and format the formulas and numbers on the article Akhmim Wooden Tablet, to make it look pretty like you did for Cahn-Hilliard equation? I tried to do it myself, but I almost killed the article. -Taco325i 16:01, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

The GNS inequality

A constant non-zero function is not a continuously differentiable function with compact support, as its support is the whole . Also see [1]. Probably, you meant the Poincare inequality. (Igny 20:55, 13 May 2007 (UTC))

The way I see it, there is a classical GNS inequality, and there are GNS-type inequalities, which are, basically, some variations, generalizations, or adaptations to particular conditions. If you find enough material with references, may be the GNS inequalities deserve a separate article where different variations and their relationships to other inequalities are discussed. Rayleigh–Taylor instability
editHello Onaraighl. Thanks for adding the linear stability analysis. One of the key points for inclusion on Wikipedia is verifiability, see WP:V. On controversial subjects, it happens that each statement is followed by one or more references. Now this stability analysis is of course not controversial, but in my opinion it still requires some references at key points in the analysis, e.g. where important assumptions regarding the mathematical-physical modelling are made and for the stated end results. The main points should also be verifiable for people not well aquainted with the subject. References should be more specific than referring to an (excellent reference) book of over 600 pages, e.g. to page numbers or small ranges of page numbers, see WP:CITE. This does not have to be cumbersome, using the <ref name=ID> construct for page number references (assuming the same pages are referenced several times, see WP:REFNAME) and adding Chandrasekhar's book to the References.
Another point is readability as an encyclopedic article, see Wikipedia:Make technical articles accessible and Wikipedia:Manual of Style (mathematics). More readers may be interested in the assumptions (as well as the reasoning leading to them) and end results of the linear stability analysis, than in its derivation. The derivation as given is nice and of of interest for those looking for it, so it should be retained in some form without losing readers not interested in the derivation and much mathematics. There are several solutions for this, see e.g. before-mentioned guides. Some options are: put the derivation itself in a collapsed table (see e.g. Bernoulli's principle), or make a separate article on the stability analysis and only put the key results in this article (see e.g. Derivation of the Navier–Stokes equations).

The article Turbulence modeling has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Page has multiple issues.
