Carbon free and nuclear free energy
edit49.0 percent of the US electric power was generated at coal-fired plants. 19.2 percent was generated at natural gas-fired plants, and 1.8 percent was generated at petroleum-fired plants. So, 70% of the electricity is provided from fossil fuel sources.
Nuclear plants contributed 19.8 percent.
So, fossil and nuclear (both called foclear) sources provides 89.9 of the electricity in the U.S.A., showing the nowadays dependence on this resources. [1]
In other countries, with more nuclear and fossil independence, the main electricity source are renewables [2] or includes fossil or nuclear phase-outs.
On the other hand, a sustainable growth is based on nuclear and fossil fuel-free energy, that avoids a toxic, radioactive, dirty and carbon-driven world. [3]
Fossil dependence and Post-Carbon
editFossil energy sources includes coal, natural gas, and petroleum, out of which petroleum dependence poses the most immediate consequences due to limited supplies that may reach maximum production much sooner than other resources, see peak oil.
Petroleum dependence consists on the reliance of a nation or other entity upon the discovery, mass production, and distribution of fossil fuels and related products, frequently by another nation (i.e. OPEC) or monopolistic or oligolopolistic group, comparing petroleum extraction and refining to renewable energies, which originary sources (i.e. sun or wind) are more generally distributed on the world and for the citizens.
Political effects of oil dependence include monopolization, sociopolitical instability, geopolitical hegemony, dictatorship, terrorism and war [4], (see U.S. Energy Independence). Economic effects include large foreign trade deficits, inflation and impacts to other areas of the economy during increasingly frequent periods of high oil prices (i.e. see 1973 oil crisis) [5] Health effects include asthma, lung cancer and other pollution-related diseases.
Reduction in oil dependence is impeded by financial incentives favorable to petroleum companies, large infrastructure investments, corruption and cultural inertia.[ citation needed]
As an example, cars and vans consume 35% of Europe´s oil [6]. In the USA, automobiles are the single largest consumer of oil [7] (40%) and the source of 20% of greenhouse gas emissions. [8]
Nuclear dependence and nuclear-free
editNuclear power currently has the ability to replace other forms of electricity generation, this does not include a large number of petroleum uses.
Since the beginning and renaissance of the Anti-nuclear movement and the nuclear waste, proliferation and security problems, however, there have been people who have claimed that the production of high level nuclear waste and damage done by Uranium mining is comparable to the environmental damage done by coal or petroleum.
Environmentalists say also nuclear power will not significantly cut carbon emissions anyway. Given that even under the WNA's most optimistic outlooks nuclear will only account for 18 percent of electricity demand, the amount of carbon foregone comes in at just four percent [9].
Because of this is proposed a nuclear phase-out and nuclear independence.
Alternatives: EEREs
editEERE means energy efficiency and renewable energy.
Due to the impact of oil on the environment limited supplies alternatives are considered; in the more or less long term, the replacement of this energy by another which is more sustainable.
Renewable energies are alternatives to fossil fuels in the production of electricity. Other technologies may allow them to replace petroleum in transportation.
Also renewable energies are not vulnerable due to centralisation.[10]

editI saw someone copied the table from Electric car#Charging to Charging station#Technical issues. It took me 15 minutes to track down the revision you made in which this occurred. Best way to handle the level 1/2/3 charging table
editYou copied the table I added to Electric car#Charging to Charging station#Technical issues. I wondered about where to put it and maybe this is a better place, but I don't think duplication is the answer, it means redundant information that will drift out of sync. It feels like the best approach is the two articles could transclude part of a free-standing Level 1, 2, and 3 charging article (currently that page is just a redirect) (using <noinclude>stuff not to show up in the other pages</noinclude>), but Wikipedia policy seems to frown on transclusion of articles, see Wikipedia_talk:Template_namespace/Archive 1#transcluding prose. For now I added <-- table copied from [[Electric car#Charging]] --> to Charging station page, I dunno if there's a template for copied material.
A freestanding article could give the history of "Level 1/2/3 charging", while the other articles just use the current definitions. I made the assertion that CARB came up with the terms but don't have complete proof. I'm also not sure what the authoritative modern description of the levels is -- it seems companies wanting to go beefier (Tesla, Coulomb Technology, etc.) have simply increased the max. current for level 1 and 2 to suit their products. I'd love any well-cited additional information, this is important stuff! Cheers, -- Skierpage (talk) 01:17, 1 June 2010 (UTC)
- You never deigned to reply, so just to let you know I removed the table you duplicated into Charging station#Technical issues as part of general improvements. -- Skierpage (talk) 02:31, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry. I have seen the message, but I forgot to answer, because there was a lot of move in my talk page :-D. But I have added some questions in the article's talk page (charging station). I am very interested about this topic. I think that the best page to put the information is in the article "charging station", because can be used by electric cars and other vehicles. I have recently been in an official course about electric vehicles, so I can give more information about this topic (they talked about 1/2/3 level charging. --Nudecline (talk) 08:01, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

editWelcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages, as you did to Rede Integrada de Transporte. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" is against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. However admirable biofuels might be, this article on the Rede Integrada de Transporte transit authority is not the place to promote it. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 15:07, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
- Why have I added promotional material to Rede Integrada de Transporte ?. --Nudecline (talk) 06:25, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
- First of all, does the transport authority use all these biofuels -- or is it that you want to say that they are available for use? Shawn in Montreal (talk) 13:53, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
- Why did you delete it without read ?. --Nudecline (talk) 06:37, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
- I deleted the text after reading. However, it does appear as if you are paraphrasing the transit authority's own website, and citing it as a primary source, so I will restore the deleted section. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 16:00, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
- Of course, it was not the soapbox for "my" goods or my biofuels. It was the exposition of a RIT policy. Without this clarification, I would include a non-neutrality tag in the article. Now people can freely judge if the environmental effort of the RIT (qualified in the past as a model) is now enough. I personally think that no, because the use of combustion buses is a bad policy. In any case, it is my guilty ;-) if I have not explained it better before. Now, I close the gate upto the next week. Good weekend :-)--Nudecline (talk) 19:33, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

All risk insurance article?
editAre you planning on creating the All risk insurance article that you linked to from Insurance? If not, I think we should delay adding the link until someone creates it. Jojalozzo 16:28, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
- I can create the stub. For sure, I cannot believe there is not a such article in Wikipedia. --Nudecline (talk) 13:58, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
- Please in the future check before adding a link. Wikipedia doesn't need an article for every concept in the universe. In my view a section in the Insurance article would suffice for introducing the all risk concept. Jojalozzo 14:52, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
- I tried to find the words all risk and all-risk and only found : "Builder's risk insurance insures against the risk of physical loss or damage to property during construction. Builder's risk insurance is typically written on an "all risk" basis covering damage due to any cause (including the negligence of the insured) not otherwise expressly excluded. Builder's risk insurance is coverage that protects a person's or organization's insurable interest in materials, fixtures and/or equipment being used in the construction or renovation of a building or structure should those items sustain physical loss or damage from a covered cause.". Are there other mentions?. For sure, all-risk insurance in car insurance is very important nowadays. --Nudecline (talk) 11:32, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, there's no mention of all risk except in the builder insurance bit. I encourage you to add an entry for "All risk" at the top of the Insurance#Types of insurance/Other types section. Jojalozzo 15:15, 24 June 2010 (UTC)

iPad
editHi, the source (App Store) restrictions are already mentioned earlier in the article, perhaps your edit would be better in the iOS (Apple) article. As for the knockoff devices, adding them places undue weight on them. I see no evidence that the world media cares beyond a few blogs. There were lots of knockoff iPhones and it isn't even mentioned in the iPhone article now because it would be undue weight so a few small copying companies. Perhaps in the future these devices will be notable, but I don't see that now.--Terrillja talk 14:29, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
- You are not right. They are not few blogs. It is the New York Times (and other media) and very important companies, as Google and Adobe, between others (as referenced). : "Companies like Google and Adobe have accused Apple of unfairly using its clout to exclude their technologies from the iPad. And some application developers are fretting under Apple’s tight control of those devices. [1]. Also are appearing free source alternatives to the iPad, as the iFree Tablet. [2], [3]." I think this can be embarrassing for Apple, and because of this the interest to quickly delete, but this is a very important criticism to the iPad (of course, iPad has no criticism or free alternatives, so this cannot be added to protect neutrality). --Nudecline (talk) 14:53, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
- It is offhandedly mentioned. Hardly extensive coverage. Perhaps I should rephrase, there is no extensive coverage outside of blogs. And I didn't object to Google and Adobe, I just said that the same type of issues were already mentioned in the article and they would be better to have in the iOS article. It isn't a criticism of the iPad, but rather the iOS family of products instead. --Terrillja talk 15:02, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
- Really, it is a specific problem of the iPad, because there are hardware and free source hardware alternatives. You cannot use the hardware to download or transfer files from other places (although can be censorship in App Store, this is an additional problem). So, they would appear mentioned in the main iPad article and a link to somewhere showing the alternative(s) to iPad. I think mine is a very moderated position. --Nudecline (talk) 15:16, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
- What do you propose?. If no answer, I am going to include the same text.--Nudecline (talk) 10:33, 25 June 2010 (UTC)

I have said several times that I am not Mac and my Comments were deleted
Decline reason:
You've been determined to be a sockpuppet per Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Mac/Archive and a discussion at ANI, which can be seen in the archives. These studies are convincing. Merely declaring your innocence is not enough. There is also a long history of bad behavior and ignoring feedback, so it's more than just a technical issue of misusing multiple accounts. PIGS or KISS
editPIGS is a "beautiful" article name and content for Wikipedia. It is racist and xenophobic. And totally biased, so as "true" as the weapons of mass destruction. Shame. Anothe name included in the article is GIPSY. Nazists would not think about a better and more racist name. In which line of democracy and human rights Wikipedia is?. For me and now, it is clear. --Nudecline (talk) 12:58, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

Rewrote your badly referenced hyperbolic POV about Battery swapping
editYou added a numbered set of reasons why Better Place is so awesome to Charging station#Battery swapping. But
- They're just a copy and paste of user "jwz"'s response to a random blog post. I don't know all the Wikipedia acronyms, but that is not a decent supporting citation.
- Many of them are unsupportable, e.g. battery swap isn't a "necessity" for the garage-less, Japanese city dwellers are getting around fine with occasional DC fast charge.
- You conflate the benefits of battery leasing with battery swapping, the two are related but not the same.
I removed some and rewrote the rest. -- Skierpage (talk) 21:25, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Manzanita Micro
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Manzanita Micro requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. MrOllie (talk) 20:04, 6 September 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Electrical junction
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Electrical junction requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. The article List of production battery electric vehicles (table) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Nowadays the list is impossible to keep up to date as there must be thousands of them. Even if you could keep it up to date it would be far too long.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Chidgk1 (talk) 17:10, 26 January 2021 (UTC)
