Linking names

I saw that you created a fair number of wikilinks in this edit at Straight pride. Some were good, but a couple I undid -- someone reading a straight pride article is unlikely to need an explanation on media (communication), for example. But one a wanted to call attention to: you saw the name Glenn Bishop, I bet you checked and saw that we have an article Glenn Bishop, and thought it would be a good link. However, with names, it's a good idea to check if the person you are linking to is the same as the person being discussed in the article where you're placing the link... and this is particularly true with common names like "Glenn" and "Bishop". It seems rather unlikely that the person hosting a protest in Canada is that retired Australian cricketeer who we have an article on. So it's a good idea to check if the person you are linking to is the same person being mentioned in the article, and particularly important when one of those people is involved in actions which some may view as disreputable.

Convenient shortcuts

FYI: in your edit to Craft, you didn't needed to write [[Anthropologist|anthropologists]]. You can just write [[anthropologist]]s. Article titles are case insensitive and you may extend the wiki link with, for example, s or ism or anything else that makes sense. 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 09:14, 8 October 2024 (UTC)

My <nowiki> markup was just to display the wiki syntax of opening and closing double ]s without invoking them. It is never used in articles. This edit shows what to do.
