Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Stuart Styron requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Stuart Styron, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.mtv.com/artists/stuart-styron/.
It is possible that the bot was mistaken and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) CorenSearchBot (talk) 20:18, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Stuart Styron

A tag has been placed on Stuart Styron requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.mtv.com/artists/stuart-styron/biography/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Contested deletion
editThis page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because the text on the MTV artist page was created last year by myself together with another girl who was interested on his art. Later we shared the page with someone who had contact with his management. After some weeks someone of Styron`s record label asked about to complete the page with photos and more, but we were not in the town that time. We just gave them the password and the permission for the full page. What you reading here is real created and written by myself. No copyright problems is waiting. If wikipedia really wants to delete the text, please do not. We can change it, if its needed. but please not delete the whole page of the artist again. Thank you. --Nature024 (talk) 21:01, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
- Hello Nature024, I've copied your comment about the deletion of the Stuart Styron article to your user talk where it will be easier to chat to you about this. The website that the text was taken from is marked '©2016 Viacom International Inc. All Rights Reserved.', which is a license that is not compatible with Wikipedia's license that states all its material may be used by anyone, for any purpose. I suggest that you follow the steps at Wikipedia:Declaration of consent for all enquiries and send an email to our email response team ("OTRS") at permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
- Note however that the article on Stuart Styron has twice been deleted after discussion by the community and it is unlikely a new article will be accepted unless it is sufficiently improved from the original articles. You should familiarise yourself with Wikipedia's notability guidance, which is a test used by editors to decide whether a given topic warrants its own article. Essentially, Wikipedia articles should be based on reliable, third-party, published sources with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy. If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to be suitable for a stand-alone article. --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 23:13, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
