Speedy deletion nomination of User:NatalieFan/sandbox

edit

A tag has been placed on User:NatalieFan/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free Web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. January 2015

edit

An image or media file, File:Survivor30logo.jpg, has been removed from your sandbox because it is licensed as non-free. Wikipedia's non-free content policy states:

Copyrighted images under fair use are only allowed to be used in articles about the subject of the image. For example they are not allowed to be used on user pages, in lists, or (typically) in biographies of living people.

As a result, although users are often given a great amount of latitude in the type of content that is allowed on their user pages, it is requested that you abide by this policy and refrain from including non-free images on your user pages. Feel free, however, to add images and media files licensed under other terms. For more information, see Wikipedia's non-free content policy and an accompanying essay on the removal of non-free images. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. MOS compliance

edit

On 8 November 2015 I made a number of edits to Bad Girls Club (season 15) that corrected various violations of the Manual of Style including, but not limited to, MOS:BOLD, MOS:ACCESS, MOS:DTT, MOS:CAPS and WP:REFPUNCT. Since then, most of these violations were reinstated more than once, including in your most recent edit to the article. Your edit violates MOS:ACCESS, MOS:DTT, MOS:BOLD, WP:COLOR, MOS:ABBR and WP:V. By all means, change content, ensuring that your changes are sourced, but do not remove compliance with the MOS when doing so. If you are unsure as to what NOT to remove, please ask for guidnce on the article's talk page BEFORE doing so. --AussieLegend () 05:46, 25 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Jessica and Anna are not from Providence Rhode Island. wtf. the girls ages are off. and the table needs to be color coded so we know who are pairs of sisters. — Preceding unsigned comment added by NatalieFan (talkcontribs)
I don't know whether what you are saying is the truth since nothing in the article is sourced. This needs to be fixed or the content will have to be deleted per WP:V (a core policy of Wikipedia!), which says, Any material that needs a source but does not have one may be removed. Any colour coding must comply with WP:COLOR, and WP:ACCESS overall. Colour keys must be provided and colour must not be the only method of conveying information. We cannot discriminate against people who are visually impaired. --AussieLegend () 02:13, 26 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hostility

edit

Hi, I'm an administrator at the English Wikipedia. There is no value to your hostile edit summary here. From my perspective, most of your changes (and I'm assuming you were editing from this IP) have been made without any explanation and have re-introduced problematic formatting. Wikipedia's various Manuals of Style exist to explain what community consensus is for article style. If you deviate from it, it is problematic, whether you think it's "bullshit" or not. Being hostile on top of introducing problematic formatting, isn't helpful. Keep in mind that this is a community project, so communication is very important. If you neither use edit summaries or open discussion on article talk pages, your edits will be met with resistance. I think it would be wise for you to clean up the formatting problems AussieLegend has raised above. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:07, 25 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

I'd like to add that, as I earlier suggested, you can fix errors without removing the MOS compliance that you removed in your edits. That is a lot simpler than having to restore the compliance after your unsourced changes. I have actually corrected all of the errors that you restored to the article, while keeping all of the changes you made that made some sense. I have added {{citation needed}} as appropriate, since all content added to Wikipedia must be verifiable. As the season has not yet aired, I have commented out the "Duration of cast" table. That can be restored once the season actually starts. For your benefit, this diff shows all of the errors that your edits reintroduced. Restoring those errors deliberately, now that you know what they are, will be treated as vandalism, since there is absolutely no justification for restoring them. --AussieLegend () 02:08, 26 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

December 2015

edit

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to use disruptive, inappropriate or hard-to-read formatting, as you did at Bad Girls Club (season 15), you may be blocked from editing. There is a Wikipedia Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. AussieLegend () 04:12, 9 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Cast of Bad Girls Club season sixteen, July 2016.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Cast of Bad Girls Club season sixteen, July 2016.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 02:53, 20 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

When an edit is made that specifically links a policy or guideline, as did this one, please don't make an edit that then violates that guideline. It's considered disruptive editing at best. Replaceable fair use File:Mike Braun, 2018 candidate.png

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Mike Braun, 2018 candidate.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 16:47, 28 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:12, 28 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

MfD nomination of User:NatalieFan/sandbox

User:NatalieFan/sandbox, a page which you created or substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; you may participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:NatalieFan/sandbox and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:NatalieFan/sandbox during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 17:32, 28 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

I closed this MfD as "leave blanked" with the understanding that the page would no longer be used for webhosting fantasy versions of reality shows. Your recent edits to the page indicate that this behavior has continued, so I will be deleting it. Please do not resume this type of editing, as it is not what Wikipedia is for and it can result in your account being blocked for being not here to contribute to the encyclopedia. ♠PMC(talk) 00:07, 25 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
I blanked the page immediately after though, I did not leave it on there. I'm sorry I did not know I was also not allowed to do that. NatalieFan (talk) 17:55, 25 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
The point isn't whether or not you blanked it. The point is that continuing to make edits which use Wikipedia's resources for personal purposes such as guessing who will win reality shows or hosting fantasy versions of such shows is not permitted. Surely you know that even when something is blanked, the data remains accessible in the history; blanking the page when the history remains basically means nothing. ♠PMC(talk) 00:11, 26 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
