editHello, I'm Dharmalion76. I noticed that you recently removed content from NRG Esports without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. I will repeat what I posted on my talk page as you appear to be ignoring me: If you work for the company then you have a conflict of interest. You also need to publicly disclose this fact per WP:PAYDISCLOSE: if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must disclose who is paying you to edit. Dharmalion76 (talk) 18:11, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
I'm not ignoring you. I didn't see your post until now. How do I disclose I work for the company? NRG-Poko (talk) 18:16, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
- The information is in the links I provided. WP:PAID Dharmalion76 (talk) 18:20, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
I believe I disclosed it properly on my user page. Let me know if I did it correctly or need to do more. Thanks!NRG-Poko (talk) 18:26, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
- Please read WP:COIEDIT: You are strongly discouraged from editing affected articles directly. You should propose changes on talk pages (by using the
{{request edit}}
template), or by posting a note at the COI noticeboard, so that they can be peer reviewed. Dharmalion76 (talk) 18:29, 24 September 2019 (UTC) - I provide links and quotes about how you shouldn't edit the article of your employers and then you wait three minutes and do it anyway? Dharmalion76 (talk) 18:43, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
- it says "Strongly Discouraged", meaning I am allowed to edit whatever. It doesn't say, "You are not allowed to do this". I edited a portion that was complete misinformation regarding our company. Nathaniel Reborn Gang is not even part of the reference that is linked. I put in the edit request for the logo.NRG-Poko (talk) 18:49, 24 September 2019 (UTC)

editIf you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page. You have not proposed a new username as requested. Also note that the block notice states "If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock". Do you intend to edit any subjects other than your organization? To NJA, I'm wondering what the reason for the block is- the user, upon being notified, declared their paid relationship and made an edit request- which is everything we expect, as I understand it. (unless I have the sequence of events wrong) Is it just the username? 331dot (talk) 23:31, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
- 331dot and NRG-Poko: The block is strictly due to the name being inconsistent with username policy (shared use). If the user requests a new name that complies with the “Person @ “Company” requirement under the policy then that should suffice to cover off the main concern. The efforts to fix incorrect information is appreciated, so long as it’s done in accordance with the requirements that they’ve been made aware of above (particularly (WP:DISCLOSE and WP:COI). All the best, N.J.A. | talk 01:38, 25 September 2019 (UTC)
- NRD-Poko, if you propose a compliant username, I can perform the rename and remove the block so long as you continue to use edit requests to suggest changes to articles related to your organization. 331dot (talk) 07:07, 25 September 2019 (UTC)
- I have changed your username from NRG-Poko. Do you agree to proceed as I ask above with your edits(use edit requests to edit about your organization)? 331dot (talk) 07:20, 1 October 2019 (UTC)
- Yes and thank you!Joebroni19 (talk) 18:15, 1 October 2019 (UTC)
