Speedy deletion nomination of Post-and-beam system

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Post-and-beam system requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. andy (talk) 23:26, 7 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Short articles

Mymcheung: Looks like you have some useful stuff to add. But remember Wikipedia is not a dictionary. You need to expand your articles like Metal decking and Elevator cab, so they don't get deleted. Add some sources. RJ (talk) 23:59, 7 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Also, please check to make sure that the content you create is not duplicated elsewhere by searching Wikipedia. I redirected many of the articles that you created. As per above, make sure that whatever you add is verifiable by reliable sources. If you want to write definitions, consider participating at Wiktionary. --Fiftytwo thirty (talk) 00:26, 8 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Also, several of your entries appear to be taken verbatim from books such as New Questions and Answers, in violation of copyright. Wikipedia is for original or properly licensed text only. Cheers. Hairhorn (talk) 03:54, 8 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Elevator car. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Elevator. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Elevator - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. GILO   ACCIDENT & EMERGENCY 00:23, 9 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please stop copying material from books. See Wikipedia:copyright violations. Hairhorn (talk) 13:19, 9 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • Apart from the pages mentioned above, numerous other pages you have created have turned out to have been copied either from books or from web pages. To save a lot of time and trouble searching, can you please say whether in fact all of the pages you have created have been copied? JamesBWatson (talk) 14:16, 9 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Impact hammer test

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Impact hammer test requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.
