editWhen is this 8-CD box set expected to be in stores such as Barnes & Noble? They aren't seeing it in their lookup screens. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 00:50, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- Hi, I don't think brick and mortar stores are going to carry it. Get it from Screen Archives (shipping imminently) or other online soundtrack dealer. MM Mxscore (talk) 00:56, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- Did I understand correctly that this is some kind of one-time, limited-edition run? Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 01:11, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- It is an edition of 3000 copies. Because the music was recorded in Europe (and the Ron Jones score was non-union) FSM is not limited in the number of sets they can produce. But doing a second run is entirely dependent on how well the first one does as it is extremely expensive to manufacture but you have to order a minimum number. So even if a second run is done, however, it might not be right away. Such is the current catalog soundtrack business, which is a highly specialized market. If you want this, my advice would be to get it while you can.Mxscore (talk) 20:14, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- I'm confused. Is this from the films' original masters, or is it newly-recorded? Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 20:51, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- I'm sorry. Everything in the set are restored original recordings made for the films. Nothing was re-recorded. Incidentally we just found out today that there will be a second pressing of this set, but probably not available for a few months. The first edition is still available but is selling quickly.Mxscore (talk) 04:18, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
- I wouldn't spend a dime on it. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 04:32, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
