Speedy deletion nomination of ThatSkynyrdKid 70

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on ThatSkynyrdKid 70 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Sourcing articles

edit

Wikipedia articles need reliable, secondary sources like newspaper articles and trade publications - an article needs at least two sources to meet general notability guidelines. Amazon should generally be avoided as a source since it's a commercial site. --McGeddon (talk) 20:12, 9 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Template issue

edit

Hey MetallicaMan800, I've just replaced your edit on Douglas Fir the Talking Tree with the actual template, as I see you had inserted a comment involving a fake one. For future reference, the correct code would be {{About|the animatronic from the 1990s|the tree|Douglas Fir}}. Also, if you don't know how to do something in future, a quick search may do the trick, or at the very least, don't put comments about the template in the mainspace. Proposed deletion of Douglas Fir the Talking Tree

edit

The article Douglas Fir the Talking Tree has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Minor product with no claim of notability, sources provided are commercial or amateur, no mention on Google Books, most likely no reliable sources possible to find.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. List of YouTubers

edit

Hi,

The List of YouTubers isn't a list of all YouTubers, or even a list of all important YouTubers. It's a list of YouTubers that (a) have an article about them on Wikipedia, or (b) include citations to multiple reliable sources showing "notability" (so magazines, newspapers, books, journals, particular high-quality websites with a reputation for accuracy and journalistic integrity, etc.). As it doesn't look like Timmy Fellows has an article and you didn't include any sources, I've reverted again. Please be advised that repeatedly making the same edits is considered "edit warring" and generally not a great idea :) Please let me know if you have questions. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 14:30, 25 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

A YouTube channel page isn't a credible source

edit

A page of a channel from YouTube isn't a credible source, and there were multiple other "smaller" YouTubers that were hacked. As you might have seen on the sources I provided to my section, one article said there were over 300 channels that were hacked in the incident. Picking a channel that was hacked in that incident and using it's page as a source isn't credible. As well as the fact that Google reverted the changes, it would be useless to any people viewing the article later on. I hope you understand. Pastorma (talk) 01:55, 4 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Crainer

edit

Hello MetallicaMan800,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Crainer for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!
