editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Athens, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. A Macedonian, a Greek. Edit Summaries
editHello Melih Yavuz, it would be appreciated if you fill in the edit summary fields when making edits to pages. Cheers. The Zealous Skeptic (talk) 15:01, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
Note
editIf you find yourself blocked at all it may be because I've recently blocked 90.211.147.17 (talk · contribs). Based on the editing histories at Eskişehir, Fethiye & Sinop, Turkey and the contents of the contributions it looks like you've perhaps accidentally logged out while editing a few times. If my hunch is correct, I need to make sure you know why the IP was blocked.
While many of your edits appear to be useful, you have a habit of removing names in other languages (e.g., [1], [2]). There is a lot of nationalist/sectionalist fighting on Wikipedia and it really isn't appropriate to remove such content without a proper discussion. Please make use of edit summaries and discuss such proposed changes on article talk pages. Many administrators have to more-or-less block on site editors that appear to be pushing a nationalist point-of-view because of the general disruption they've caused. Since you do seem interested in adding good information (especially regarding regional climate), please don't get caught up in these battles. Thanks, — Scientizzle 16:28, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
- Hello again. After this message yesterday, you had two instances of removing valid content (1, 2). Please see Wikipedia:Naming conventions (geographic names) and do not remove valid content without discussion. If you continue to remove content without discussion, I will block this account from editing. — Scientizzle 19:46, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
Edit summaries
editPlease fill out the edit summary at the bottom of the edit page. This should explain why you are changing material. Reviewing editors can see what you are changing, but we don't know why you are changing it. Some unexplained changes resemble vandalism and will therefore be reverted. Filling out edit summaries may prevent this. Thanks. Student7 (talk) 20:27, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
April 2011
editWelcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Sivas with this edit. When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Minor edits
editThank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. --McGeddon (talk) 18:05, 17 December 2014 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
