I saw your draft at User:MaximumGrossTakeOffWeight/MGTOW (Men Going their Own Way), and I thought I'd give a couple of suggestions. First, I wouldn't use Google trends in your article, as raw stats like that aren't always a good indicator of how much something is actually being talked about. Second, since your article is specifically about MGTOW, you should avoid articles that only talk about a related concept without actually using the phrase "Men Going their Own Way", as what you need to show in the article is that Men Going their Own Way specifically has gotten significant coverage in reliable, independent sources. DARVO

I've changed your "DARVO" reference in the Gaslighting article to a link to Denial#Denial of fact, and included your Freyd quote there, which I think is the material you were wanting to reference through that link. However, there's nothing in the Freyd quote that supports the use of the acronym DARVO itself, and since it appears to be a neologism, you would need to show that it is used by multiple independent reliable sources before using it here. -- The Anome (talk) 12:40, 14 December 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for creating Draft:MGTOW: that looks like a good start on an article, and unlike when the original article was deleted in 2007, the phenomenon does indeed now appear to meet Wikipedia's criteria for notability. Thank you very much. Please also create the pages MGTOW (and Men going their own way, which should be a redirect). On the Web, according to the number of Google search results (hits), "MGTOW" is used much more frequently than the full phrase "Men Going Their Own Way". Hi, I'm just following up on the request to move Men Going Their Own Way to MGTOW. The way to do that is through a requested move. Just follow the linked instructions to begin a discussion as to whether Men Going Their Own Way should be moved to MGTOW. Oops, and another thing. If you would like MGTOW (Men's rights) to be deleted, the way to do that is to nominate it for deletion at RfD. There are instructions there, but they are somewhat complicated, and in practice I find it easier to use something like Twinkle to nominate pages for deletion. MGTOW for DYK?

Have you considered submitting Men Going Their Own Way to WP:DYK? It seems like it would make a neat factoid and I believe there's a 7-day limit for new articles. FYI: Wikipedia:Conflict of interest

Hi I'm just noticing your username MaximumGrossTakeOffWeight and the fact that you created the MGTOW article. Just so you know Wikipedia has rules about editing/creating articles about organizations with which one has an affiliation. I note that your first edit to wikipedia was in fact the creation of that page.

Also, some of your comments at that article's AFD raise redflags "If it makes any difference, the near-consensus of the MGTOW outside Wikipedia with whom I've discussed this is agreement with my delete vote here."[1]. Wikipedia articles and content are judged by wikipedia's standards not any external group's standards. The link in the thread tile has some useful information on how to avoid controversial edits on pages where one might have a potential conflict of interest--Cailil ^talk 16:31, 31 December 2015 (UTC)

My Wikipedia username was chosen on a whim. I have an "interest" in the subject matter, but I have no "conflict of interest". MGTOW is not an "organization". It is a social phenomenon (and, to a lesser extent, a community of interest). The website MGTOW.com is someone's pet project and does not speak for (all) MGTOW. I am in no way affiliated with this website. I don't understand this block. As I already stated, my username is irrelevant, because it was chosen on a whim; most websites allow changing one's username, but Wikipedia does not (or at least not without confusing complications). As I already explained, I have no conflict of interest, because I receive no benefits, financial or otherwise, for using this user account. MGTOW is not a company, organization, institution, or product. I do not recall ever using a "royal we" or "approved version" with regards to the article. I merely pointed out that the current article factually misrepresented the truth about what MGTOW is all about. I do not have a "strong" point of view, because I even included a "Criticism of MGTOW" section myself in the original article, with some very harsh criticisms of MGTOW. I am not opposed to including criticisms of MGTOW in the article, indeed I did it myself and don't mind it if others do. My only objection is if the criticisms of MGTOW begin to dominate the article, such as constituting the majority of the article. My only request is that the criticisms of MGTOW be sequestered to the "Criticisms of MGTOW" section, and do not constitute the majority of the article or become interspersed in the description of MGTOW, which is misleading. —MaximumGrossTakeOffWeight^(talk). 12:11, 2 January 2016 (UTC)
