Hello, Mateo, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few links to pages you might find helpful:

You may also want to take the Wikipedia Adventure, an interactive tour that will help you learn the basics of editing Wikipedia. You can visit The Teahouse to ask questions or seek help.

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly.   Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 01:47, 17 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Your help desk question

edit

You didn't get a response, but if there can be a tool that would do what you suggest, perhaps someone at WP:VPT would know.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 20:49, 29 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thanks user:Vchimpanzee, ill try that.

Your recent editing history at List of vegetarians shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Signature

edit

Hi. You keep on signing with (I'm guessing) 5 tildes, leaving just a timestamp without your username - e.g. here (and throughout the page). Please sign with 4 tildes so that your username is present as well. Icewhiz (talk) 13:54, 17 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Icewhiz. I wonder for years why sometimes my username appear and sometimes doesn't. thank you very much for that input.
Mateo (talk) 14:05, 17 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
Yes .... It is a rather poor wiki-feature (3 tildes just leaves your username) - and very easy to mixup. Icewhiz (talk) 14:07, 17 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Sources vs. editors.

edit

In my haste to compare your sources with other WP:FRINGE sources, I realized that I neglected to compare you, personally, with anything. Let me fix that now. I hereby compare you with a randomly-chosen image from [ https://icanhas.cheezburger.com/squee ]. Just roll a dice and pick one. That's you. I hope this helps. --Guy Macon (talk) 14:06, 30 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia Wars and the Israel-Palestine conflict...please fill out my survey?

edit

Hello :) I am writing my MA dissertation on Wikipedia Wars and the Israel-Palestine conflict, and I noticed that you have contributed to those pages. My dissertation will look at the process of collaborative knowledge production on the Israel-Palestine conflict, and the effect it has on bias in the articles. This will involve understanding the profiles and motivations of editors, contention/controversy and dispute resolution in the talk pages, and bias in the final article.

For more information, you can check out my meta-wiki research page or my user page, where I will be posting my findings when I am done.

I would greatly appreciate if you could take 5 minutes to fill out this quick survey before 8 August 2021.

Participation in this survey is entirely voluntary and anonymous. There are no foreseeable risks nor benefits to you associated with this project.

Thanks so much,

Sarah Sanbar
