Editing restrictions
As you have probably noticed I am under certain editing restrictions, and I have no desire to import any drama to your WikiProject proposal. I will probably not post there again. MaxBrowne (talk) 13:32, 30 April 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for the message. I apologize for not noticing it and replying sooner. I am not sure what "certain editing restrictions" means, but I hope it is not because of the stuff I posted on your talk page. Besides, I'm pretty sure any drama on that WikiProposal page was because of me. I suffer from chronic foot-in-mouth-itis and yesterday I had a bad case of it. That was not the first time something like that has happened and it will probably not be the last.
- FWIW, even though I was the person who made that WikiProject proposal, I really don't consider it to be "mine". Everyone is welcome to participate, provide feedback, etc., etc. Unfortunately, the proposal seems pretty much dead in the water right now. Maybe it will have a better chance at a later date, after more shogi-related articles have been added to Wikipedia. I like your idea about becoming a subproject of a more established project. It was something that another person also suggested before, but I started doing other things and completely forgot to follow through on it. WikiProject:Board and table games is indeed a good one to try. They have various task forces currently ongoing so maybe they'll take on one more. Another one I was thinking of is Wikiproject:Japan because of the experienced editors they have there working on Japan-related articles, and because there might be more chances of finding other shogi players there. Maybe it's possible to become a task force of both. Well, thanks for the comments and suggestions. - Marchjuly (talk) 07:05, 1 May 2014 (UTC)
