Hi. I see in a recent addition to New Zealand Scholarship you included material from a webpage that is available under a compatible Creative Commons Licence. That's okay, but you have to give attribution so that our readers are made aware that you copied the prose rather than wrote it yourself. It's also required under the terms of the license. I've added the attribution for this particular instance. Please make sure that you follow this licensing requirement when copying from compatibly-licensed material in the future. — Diannaa (talk) 17:42, 12 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Live Ocean, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Conservation and Charity. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Busway and railway stations

edit

Kia ora MangoMan, just stopping by to say that I really appreciated your contribution to the Hibiscus Coast Busway Station move request. You've basically changed my mind. What I was striving for is consistency across articles and if we concur that all the stations are proper names, we should achieve that consistency by having the railway stations moved to upper case. Would you be interested in drafting the words for a move request and we'll put this forward together? Here's good. The rationale that you used at the busway station could easily be the basis of that. What I suggest is that we pick a representative sample of railway stations (geographic spread; stations closed decades ago and current ones; big and small), then see how this goes. If there's a reasonably strong consensus to move, we can then use that as a rationale to move the remaining stations. If it's not such a clear case but the move does go ahead, we put the remaining stations forward via one massive move request. How does that sound? Schwede66 03:44, 26 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi Schwede66. Thanks for keeping an open mind and also for all the great work that I've noticed you doing across New Zealand articles. I'm actually going to be away from the internet for the next ten days so let's revisit this in 2 weeks. MangoMan11 (talk) 09:33, 27 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
That's cool. Post a note when you are back; enjoy your internet-free time. Schwede66 18:51, 27 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
Right then. What happened is that I had watchlisted the Hibiscus Coast busway station article for one month (most move requests are over and done with within eight days). Came end of January, it fell off my watchlist. There was a bit more discussion, which I didn't respond to because I never saw it. End result? The articles got moved. That put an end to our wee scheme to reopen the debate on the "Railway Stations", as it were. Bugger! Schwede66 08:32, 16 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Invitation to an in-person meetup in Mohua / Golden Bay

edit

Golden Bay Air are holding some seats for us until 21 November

Thinking about your summer break? Think about joining other Wikipedians and Wikimedians in Golden Bay / Mohua! Details are on the meetup page. There's heaps of interesting stuff to work on e.g. the oldest extant waka or New Zealand's oldest ongoing legal case. Or you may spend your time taking photos and then upload them.

Golden Bay is hard to get to and the airline flying into Tākaka uses small planes, so we are holding some seats from and to Wellington and we are offering attendees a $200 travel subsidy to help with costs.

Be in touch with Schwede66 if this event interests you and you'd like to discuss logistics. Schwede66 09:14, 13 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
