Hi again Mal Arken....per your Edit Summary here [1]: "Baekhyun" is not a stylization. It is his official name as an artist, which is why he is referred to as "Baekhyun" in his own articles. The artists Jonghyun, Jessica and Henry are all featured on this exact article under their artist name, as they should be. The same rule applies to Baekhyun."

Thanks for pointing out that there were a few more names on the charts that were linked incorrectly to their page names, Jonghyun, Jessica and Henry. I have corrected those now, which had been overlooked previously, along with a mistake or two for Tiffany.

I will leave you to make the corrections for Byun Baek-hyun to avoid edit warring.

I hope that you start to see that editing on Wikipedia is something we do for fun and start to enjoy discussions and Talks with other editors.

When I was corrected by a senior editor about this problem above (as I have been the main editor of List of K-pop albums on the Billboard charts), at that time there were massive changes that had to be made on the three K-pop chart pages that I liked to edit, which included all the group names. I had thought it would be nice to see the stage names of the artists, as most K-pop fans use those names and recognize them. But, I also understood what the other editor was telling me.....that for the purposes of Wikipedia as an encyclopedia that is viewed by more than just K-pop fans......the page links needed to reflect the actual Wikipedia named pages.

What is more important to me here with you, is that I get along with another member of the WikiProject Korea instead of arguing.

If you disagree with the edits I have made recently....please discuss them with me here so that we can decide what to do, instead of edit warring. :)Thanks. (forgot to sign the other day--Bonnielou2013 (talk) 23:39, 8 June 2020 (UTC))Reply

Wikipedia has no rules against using artists official titles instead of their given names. On most music pages artists are referred to by their professional name, whether it be a mononym or a stage name. For instance, you'd never see Beyoncé referred to as Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter, because that's completely unprofessional in the context of a chart page. The same goes for artists like Baekhyun or Jonghyun.
If you can find any regulations that support your viewpoint, I will gladly comply— however, since these names are their professional titles, it's only appropriate that these names are what they are referred to by. Mal Arken (talk) 06:37, 8 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
Yes, Mal Arken, you provide a perfect example:
  • Beyoncé's is Beyoncé, just as
  • IU's is IU, and
  • Baekhyun's is Byun Baek-hyun, until his page name gets changed, if it does.
I provided you the WP rule in my first message previously on your Talk page here and you deleted it, without discussion. Then you reverted me after I asked you to discuss a second time. I understand that you seem to like to work independantly on WP....but it is a collaborative project, which means talking to and coming to agreement with other editors.--Bonnielou2013 (talk) 23:39, 8 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Stylization is using special or uppercase characters. Stylization is not using an artists official name. Mal Arken (talk) 19:57, 9 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

My issue isn't with Baekhyun's page being titled Byun Baek-hyun. My issue is with the improper usage of artist's given names rather than their stage names— specifically in articles about their work as an artist. I hope you can understand my viewpoint as someone why manages music articles just like you. Mal Arken (talk) 20:03, 9 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

For reverting your edit

edit

Hi Mal Arken! I'm sorry for reverting for your edit for removing the format parameters from the infobox. Another editor, Carlobunnie, fortunately showed me the discussion on consensus reached by several editors that the parameter is deemed unnecessary, which I wasn't aware of earlier. Keep on with your good faith edits across pages! :) --Ashleyyoursmile! 06:12, 18 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
