Welcome!

Hello, Macosx, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome from another Mac user! -- Dismas|(talk) 06:20, 14 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Ignore Anthony cfc

edit

MacOSx, Welcome. I believe you should ignore User:Anthony cfc, for now. His motive is to build up edits so that he can become an admin. However, his understanding of the encyclopedia is currently at a basic level. You are taking the correct approach. The talk pages are the proper venue for starting out. The links above are great ones on how to get started. Regards, Ancheta Wis 20:23, 14 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Definitely, ignore him :) he doesn't know what he's talking about! (Note, I am Anthony_cfc, I was renamed a considerable time ago). Hope you're well, Anthøny 23:03, 23 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Odd watchlist items

edit

The strange pages you asked about on AN are likely the results of pagemove vandalism. Basically, if a page you have watchlisted is moved to a new name then that name is automatically added to your watchlist. This is done intentionally so that you can continue watching the page after the move. However, if the move was vandalism then the page typically gets moved back, but the vandalized name remains in your watchlist. --CBD 23:36, 20 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
