editThis is the only warning you will receive. Your recent vandalism, as you did to Toronto Maple Leafs, will not be tolerated. Although vandalizing articles on occasions that are days or weeks apart from each other sometimes prevents editors from being blocked, your continued vandalism constitutes a long term pattern of abuse. The next time you vandalize a page, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia without further notice. Johnny Au (talk/contributions) 03:10, 4 January 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of ONN (electronics)
editHello MTG1989,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged ONN (electronics) for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Musa Talk 06:34, 2 September 2015 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Travis Hamonic of the Calgary Flames, Feb 2018.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Travis Hamonic of the Calgary Flames, Feb 2018.jpg, which you've attributed to /u/mgrin212 on Reddit. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 12:50, 18 February 2018 (UTC)
Ways to improve Ryan Lomberg
editHi, I'm Domdeparis. MTG1989, thanks for creating Ryan Lomberg!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Phrase like "Impressed with his work ethic and determination" "Lomberg emerged as a more multi-dimensional player" are not encyclopedic in tone. Plese take the time to clean up. Thanks
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.
Dom from Paris (talk) 16:26, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
Nah. You may do it if you wish, but what I have written is factually accurate. I can source it, if you wish, with direct quotes from the coaching staff, although I'm not sure if you might find that to clutter up the page past your arbitrary standards.
DYK for Scott Foster (ice hockey)
editOn 30 April 2018, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Scott Foster (ice hockey), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Scott Foster, a 36-year-old accountant, made his professional ice hockey debut as a goaltender for the Chicago Blackhawks in 2018 and saved every shot he faced? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Scott Foster (ice hockey). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Scott Foster (ice hockey)), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

- "All North American hockey pages should have names without diacritics, except where their use is likewise customary (specifically, in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey)." All NHL articles are classified as North American hockey pages, therefore diacritics are not permitted in any of these types of articles. Deadman137 (talk) 13:44, 4 July 2021 (UTC)

editCalgary Wranglers page move
editI notice you moved the new AHL team to the primary page, with no explanation nor discussion about whether or not it's more notable than the former WHL team of ten years was. (In good time, the new AHL team may very well be notable, but right now it's debatable). Could you explain, please? Thank you. Tom Danson (talk) 06:48, 9 August 2022 (UTC)
- Generally speaking, AHL teams are more notable because they play at a significantly higher level than the WHL. It's also the team currently using the name. MTG1989 talk 22:54, 17 September 2022 (UTC)
