Immersive Reality Technical Achievement
editHello MR.RockGamer17, I have a suggestion. Since the introduction of the "Immersive Reality Technical Achievement" (IRTA) category at the D.I.C.E. Awards, I noticed that it has been grouped as part of the "Game of the Year" category in multiple Wiki pages (which includes GoTY, Online GoTY, Mobile GoTY, etc.). Shouldn't IRTA be part of the craft categories instead (the "Outstanding Achievement" awards)? There's already an Immersive Reality GoTY, which awarded best overall game in that special category (regardless of outstanding craftsmanship), whereas Technical Achievement refers to the outstanding achievement in visual and gameplay engineering for an immersive reality game (which awards the specific craftmanship of creating the game, similar to that of best animation, best story, best art direction, etc.). I honestly think that grouping IRTA with the craft awards is more appropriate. Let me know what you think, and I can help you with making the adjustments. - On the Academy's website, interactive.org. If you go to "Awards Voting Rules" at the top of the "Awards" drop down, there should be a hyperlink to a PDF for the complete list of rules & procedures for the awards. If you scroll down to the award category definitions, "Immersive Reality Technical Achievement" will be listed under "Game of the Year" Awards. Archived PDFs for the rules & procedures for the 24th (2021) and 25th (2022) will also have this listing. MR.RockGamer17 (talk) 18:25, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
Category:D.I.C.E. Award winners has been nominated for discussion
editCategory:D.I.C.E. Award winners has been nominated for possible deletion, merging, or renaming. A discussion is taking place to decide whether this proposal complies with the categorization guidelines. If you would like to participate in the discussion, you are invited to add your comments at the category's entry on the categories for discussion page. Thank you. - @SnowFire, I understand that some of the D.I.C.E. Award winners sub-categories did meet the standards of the categorization guidelines. Mobile Game of the Year was one that I was not very confident about. Two other categories that I won't object for deleting are the Immersive Reality Game of the Year and Immersive Reality Technical Achievement. Another user made the categories for all the genre awards (Action, Adventure, Family, Fighting, Racing, Role-Playing, Sports, and Strategy/Simulation) and Online Game of the Year. I wanted to be fair to all the awards and created categories for all the craft Awards (Game Direction, Game Design, Animation, Art Direction, Character, Original Music Composition, Audio Design, and Technical) along with the awards for Mobile Game of the Year, Outstanding Achievement for Independent Game, Immersive Reality Game of the Year, and Immersive Reality Technical Achievement. Also, my initial intention was to redirect the category for Interactive Achievement Award winners to D.I.C.E. Award winners. I made the category for D.I.C.E. Game of the Year winners shortly afterwards. So I would like to propose that the categories for the genre awards be recategorized under the category:D.I.C.E. Genre Award winners and I would do the same with the craft awards under the category:D.I.C.E. Craft Award winners. I am also thinking about making the categories for category:D.I.C.E. Genre Awards and category:D.I.C.E. Craft Awards. MR.RockGamer17 (talk) 14:40, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
- Hello again! Sorry about the miscommunication there. If you think that some subcategories should be deleted but not others, or that they should be merged into craft / genre award subcategories, I recommend commenting on the CFD itself - the D is "discussion", so reorganizations that aren't just deletions are definitely fair game to discuss there. (Personally, I'm a bit of a stickler about categories, even though it's a generally losing battle... I do understand that there are probably some counterexamples out there ) SnowFire (talk) 16:24, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
- Please stop readding these deleted categories. There was clear support for the wholesale deletion of these categories. --Masem (t) 14:42, 17 September 2023 (UTC)
- Look, I understand that the individual D.I.C.E. Awards may not be defining but I have to point that there are category pages for the British Academy Game Awards winners at Category:BAFTA winners (video games). In my opinion, the D.I.C.E. Awards are more defining than the British Academy Game Awards. There are also categories for Category:Game Developers Choice Award winners, Category:Golden Joystick Award winners, and even Category:New York Game Award winners. There also category GOTY winner categories for the Game Developers Choice Awards and Golden Joystick Awards. At the very least I will be requesting for undeletion the categories for D.I.C.E. Award winners and D.I.C.E. Award for Game of the Year winners MR.RockGamer17 (talk) 14:43, 17 September 2023 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on Category:D.I.C.E. Award for Game of the Year Winners indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 16:00, 17 September 2023 (UTC)

DICE Awards Entries for All Games in History Complete
editWow, I feel like I've added as many information entries as possible for nominations and awards for pretty much every game within the last 26 years. It was quite the endeavor for the past eight months! I sure hope the Wiki page entries will be worth it to gain more views on the DICE and AIAS Wiki pages! I'm glad to help you out with it, as I think these are the most preeminent and prestigious peer-based awards (as compared to The Game Awards, which is a videogame critic choice awards organization). Looking forward to helping you out however I can! Tommybone32 (talk) 18:25, 4 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Tommybone32 thank you for all your help. I really appreciate it. I hope we can continue working together. MR.RockGamer17 (talk) 18:57, 4 December 2023 (UTC)
