Deletion discussion about Joshua Fried

• Hi! I received a notification about this. I've done a little cleaning for the article in order to help with the neutrality concerns, however notability is still an issue. The main thing with notability is that you need independent, reliable sources to show notability - primary sources can back up basic information but they can't show notability. Self-published sources like blog posts, forums, and such, are not really seen as reliable sources because they rarely undergo the type of editorial process that Wikipedia requires of a reliable source, nor are they usually seen as authoritative by other reliable sources.

Something to be careful about is that notability isn't inherited by working with notable musicians or people - it can make it more likely that independent, reliable coverage will exist that mentions his contributions, but it's not a guarantee. I'll see if I can help find anything, but offhand it's possible that Fried may not pass notability guidelines at this point in time. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:00, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
